Spring. A time of renewal and fresh beginnings. Time to weed out the dead of winter in the garden and plant colorful borders; declutter our homes and bring back a feeling of “light”. With the change of seasons comes a natural urge to refresh our surroundings, which includes our wardrobes. Floral prints always feel fresh and cherry, which is why they will never go out of style. Blooms and blossoms come in an array of styles and colors – from ditzy daisies and to bold graphic ’70s prints—so there’s truly a floral for everyone. What’s yours?
New This Season | 60’s Wallpaper Prints
“From the flowing silhouettes to the lively patterns, the ’60s was all about having fun with fashion…
…look to ’60s and ’70s wallpaper for your print fix. Retro prints ruled the runways—bringing both major color and pattern to all the top collections. Serving up mod home decor realness, vintage wallpaper (and couch) prints were channeled in the form of suiting at Prada and Marc Jacobs. Christopher Kane opted for a more psychedelic wallpaper print in the form of spring dresses, while Etro and Alberta Ferretti delivered a more bohemian-print option.” – from Harpers Bazaar Spring Trends | read more (HERE)
What I’m Wearing
Admittedly there’s a lot going on with this look, but somehow it all came together. When styling a bold print, I suggest keeping your accessories understated. Simple gold accessories allow this 60’s inspired caftan dress by Dodo Bar Or to shine. A simple circle bag adds to the boho vibe but doesn’t take away from the design of the dress.
