Not looking to buy anything, I was immediately drawn to this statement piece, while shopping with girlfriends at JorJet Boutique. Black and white leopard jacquard, faux leather trim, subtle zipper details, a perfect fit – it was love at first sight!
For size reference, I took a 36. I’d say the 38 fits more like a size 6.
And then the fun begin. My norm being a solid black piece, I immediately began to think of all the ways I could wear this statement piece – with pieces in my closet.
To show how versatile a fun statement jacket can be, I worked up a couple of flat-lays (Instagram lingo), here on my bathroom floor.
All pieces in this set are from my closet, and are linked in the slide show below. If the exact piece was not available, I found the most similar.
Boyfriend jeans and black silk tank
Swap out the black tank for a ribbed white cotton tank, for a more casual look.
Dress this look down even more with lace-up ballet flats.
Swap out the casual boyfriend jeans, for a dark flare jean,
a dressier look!
Add a jumpsuit
A black leather midi skirt (any black skirt would work), white ribbed tank,
and a pop of color in the clutch – can take you from work to after 5!
After putting these 5 outfits together, I realized I am in need of a silver tone, long lariat necklace. I did add one, to Shop the Look, below.
