Today we’re covering everything from Style (a round-up of my favorite tunics and stripe sweaters + shopping links), and this week’s featured Outfit to Lifestyle Tips (ideas on how to make environmentally positive changes in 2020), and Home Design (discover what design trends will be in and out this coming year).
Welcome to this week’s Best of the Blog!
1. Last Week’s Top Seller
The most clicked item from the AskSuzanneBell.com After Christmas Sale Round-Up (MORE HERE), was the Madewell Beacontree Stripe Pullover. This tells me that you ladies love your stripe pullovers – and what’s not to like? A striped sweater or top is one of the most versatile pieces to own, as it’s multiple colors easily work back to many items in our closets. The Beacontree Pullover is almost sold out (HERE), so I rounded up a few more stripe sweaters for you to browse – most of which are currently on sale.
2. Must-Have Tunics | Nordstrom
I never seem to have the right tunic top when I need it. This time of year I live in leggings, so I am always on the lookout for flattering tunic tops and sweaters to layer under vests, jackets or sweater cardigans. After Christmas, I purchased (THIS) knit tunic in Oatmeal Heather. Now 40% off at Nordstrom, the Caslon Shirttail Tunic Sweater has the weight of a tee, but the structure of a light sweater, available in 4 colors in petite, regular and plus sizes. I also ordered (THIS) waffle tunic tee (runs large) and thought (THIS) wool/cashmere shirttail sweater from Halogen was a fabulous basic and legging companion. Here’s a look at a few not-so-basic tunics, available at Nordstrom right now:
3. This Week’s Lifestyle Tips | Home and Travel
This week over at RickandSuzanneBell.com, I rounded up a curated list of lifestyle tips, including a detailed look at what home design trends will be in and out in 2020. I’m not sure I’m ready to let my subway tiles go, but I will be happy to see cold interiors move toward a more warm and inviting vibe. Read more in this week’s article, Refresh & Renew | Home Design and Lifestyle TIps (HERE).
4. Favorite Post from the Blogosphere
In Suzanne Carillo’s post, My Journey Towards Environmental Consciousness (HERE), Suzanne shares some easy changes she’s made to her own life in an effort to fight climate change on a personal level. From tips on shopping second hand to using soap nuts or Laundry Soda for her laundry and drier balls instead of fabric softener sheets – her post is full of simple eco-conscious ideas to learn about and try in 2020.
Small choices in life can create big changes for our world.
It’s not about feeling bad about what you’re not doing, it’s about feeling good about what you are doing and making positive changes towards a better future.

5. Your Favorite Look | Stylish Monday
Did you catch this week’s Stylish Monday (HERE)? For the first link up of the year, the ladies of Stylish Monday got together and shared 10 cozy chic looks to inspire you to get out and step up your style game during the winter months. With a focus on statement coats and sweaters, from Alaska to England, see how our unique climates inspire what we wear (HERE).
In addition to sharing our own looks, Stylish Monday is a link-up – meaning anyone can share their blog posts or Instagram looks AND be featured on 10 blogs from around the world. This week’s most clicked on look was Jamie Ashcraft’s jegging outfit (you’ll never guess where her sweater is from!) post on How to Dress up Jeggings. See how Jamie styles her OLD NAVY Leggings and shop her look (HERE).

I wrote a response to your question about the soap nuts. Although they do work nicely (they come with their own little bag for the washer when you use them) I prefer the laundry soda. I’m pretty sure both are available on Amazon.
I’ve also bought the REUSABLE makeup remover pads. Every little bit counts!
Happy New year!

Hi Suzanne! Thank you for the feedback on the soap nuts, I’ll check out the Laundry Soda. My girlfriend gave me the reusable makeup remover pads over the holidays, I just started using them last night and I really like them. Mine came in their own laundry bag which is so convenient. Your so right, every little bit counts!
Another friend gve me a removable make up remover sponge by SENSI which is super effective. I’ll be sharing my review in an upcoming beauty post.
Thanks for putting together this detailed post for us all to enjoy and learn from.
Happy New Year!
Suzanne
