Welcome to my November roundup of What I Shopped + Bought — a mix of over 25 fashion, beauty, and my Top 5 Picks of the Month.
“Shopped” highlights the pieces that caught my eye this month… the items I tried on, researched, or saved for later. “Bought” are the gems that actually came home with me and earned a spot in my fall/winter rotation. This month’s list also includes a few beauty favorites — products I’ve tested, loved, and often reordered as I streamline my routine and keep my drawer curated and simple.
Below you’ll find my Top 5 Purchases for October/November, followed by a holiday-minded edit of 20 favorites — pieces you may love for yourself or gifts to tuck away for the season. Tip: now is the time to start your wishlists.
Black Friday deals seem to launch earlier every year, and some of my favorite retailers:
- Nordstrom (Black Friday Deals)
- Sanctuary (30% sitewide, including my shoulder zip sweater in black and olive, now $63.00, here)
- Boden (30% off, including my fave Snaffle Belt)
- Jones Road (up to 20% off)
- J.Crew (15 % off purchase on top of deals + deep discounts on sale items)
- Anthropologie (30% off + extra 40% off on sale)
Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving — and sending a heartfelt thank you. I’m truly grateful for each one of you who visits my small corner of the internet. Your support means the world.
Now, let’s have some fun browsing this month’s favorites and Black Friday Deals…
1. Delaney Kick Out Sweater Pant | JCrew
This pant sold out last fall before I could grab a pair. When I finally tried them on at J.Crew this year, it was—no joke—85 degrees outside, and I walked out thinking, this is not a California winter pant. But as soon as the temps dropped into the 60s, I realized I needed these pants in my winter wardrobe.
The shape, quality, and styling won me over. With a wide waistband (think your favorite wide, semi-compression waistband), a ponte-knit flare, and flattering pintuck details, this is a must-have. Like Spanx pants, I wouldn’t tuck anything in the front, but the fit is incredibly flattering—more substantial and polished than a typical knit legging.
Dress them up with mules or down with sneakers or booties—they even pair perfectly with my Hunter lug-sole rain boots. And yes… they’re warm, in a good way!
The Delaney sweater pant is available in petite, regular, tall, and six colors. I bought the black. Regularly priced at $168.00, at $74—with code EXTRA for an additional 15% off—these come to $63. A total winner. PRESS HERE to shop.
2. Varley | Slim Knit Pant
I’m a true Vuori Performance jogger loyalist, but I’ll admit—they’re a bit thin for the colder months. Great for indoors, but the wind cuts right through them. I’ve also worn the Cuyana joggers for years, but they’ve become harder to track down and are often out of stock.
So the hunt began. While shopping, I tried on the Varley slim pant, the slim cuff jogger, and the wide-leg pant and was genuinely impressed with the weight and fit of these luxe bottoms. Note: the brand runs slightly large but true to the size chart. I’m a size 4/small and went with an XS.
The slim pant is available at Varley – take 10% off with email sign up (here) | at Nordstrom (here)
If you like a set, there are beautiful coordinating tops—and even jackets—in black and several fun colors. I linked a few favorites for you below, tap arrows to scroll all. Shop all Varley (here)
3. J Crew Wide-rib Cashmere Turtleneck
I grabbed the Wide-Rib Cashmere Turtleneck to try on with the Delaney pants at J.Crew, and I really liked the fit and quality of this sweater. It fits true to size and doesn’t cling like some ribbed, fitted styles do. It’s a thinner weight, making it perfect for layering under jackets, vests, blazers, or coats—but also beautiful on its own. And if you’re looking for a red sweater, this is a great option. PRESS HERE for all 4 colors.
4. Miracle Balm | Jones Road
You all know how much I love Jones Road Miracle Balm—the hardest part is choosing a shade. Some of you have said it feels like Vaseline, which usually means you’re applying too much. While visiting the Jones Road NYC store last month, the makeup artist suggested I treat it like lip gloss—the final step—game changer.
I now use it on top of my cream blush stick and tap the extra onto my lips. To finish, I lightly dust Dior Luminizer over my cheeks with a brush; it adds glow and takes away any leftover “tackiness” from the balm. I’m often asked what I’m wearing on my cheeks, and this combo is magic.
The mini balms are back and currently on promo in bundles of three new shades—perfect for trying the product without committing to the full size. The site also offers a shade quiz to help you choose the correct color match for your skin tone.
PRESS HERE to shop all Jones Road — now up to 20% off for Black Friday Week.
5. Skyla Faux Fur Lined Mule | Vaneli
Since my beloved Jeffrey Campbell faux-fur Gucci-dupe mules finally bit the dust, I’ve been hunting for a replacement. I thought the Vaneli Skyla mule was it, but, sadly, the color didn’t flatter my skin tone. Still, it’s a stunning shoe—true to size, comfortable, and beautifully neutral with a gold bit, so I wanted to share it. It also comes in black with black faux fur. Sold out at Nordstrom, but currently in stock at Zappos (here).
