Nothing screams California Style like Trina Turk! From her bright colors to bold prints and fun styling, what’s not to love? Here I am sunning last week on the California Coast, wearing one of my favorite Trina kimonos – pom-poms and all! So when blogger pal Kim Wheeler of Northern California Style asked if I would like collaborate on a styling event at the Trina Turk boutique in Burlingame, all she had to say was Trina, and I was in!
A Trina Turk Styling Event…and you are all invited!
Here’s the scoop. Kim and I had to postpone our original March event due to us both being under the weather, but now it’s on! This coming Thursday, 4/19 Kim and I will be at the charming Trina Turk boutique on Burlingame Avenue to assist in finding something you love, plus all guests that morning will receive 20% off their full price purchase! A few weeks ago, Kim and I spent a few hours previewing the new spring line, so that we could see how some of the items fit prior to next weeks event. Kim and I tried on so many pieces and I have to say, there was so much to love. If you have an event coming up, there were many beautiful dresses to choose from. I loved all the gingham and stripe pieces, ruffles and statement sleeves. Trina Turk makes me happy with her colorful prints and easy to wear styles. If you live locally, we would love for you to come join us from 10:30-1, bring a friend, shop and grab lunch or a coffee on the Avenue…the more the merrier! I shared a few of our dressing room pictures back in March, but today I have more… and when you’re done window shopping here, I encourage you to hop on over and visit Kim at Northern California Style for more dressing room and store reviews!

Trina Turk Spring 2018 Preview
I now invite you to join Kim and I in the dressing room!
I think the print of both the pant and the Bonita dress is so fun for spring and summer! The Bonita dress, with her flattering neckline and sleeve detail looks good on everyone, also in Navy
Dana, store manager of the Burlingame Boutique, assists me with the reversible Tamika Top, which I paired with the Parsley Pant. I could see this halter top paired with denim, white denim, a black pant or skirt…so many options!
The Glitterati 2 Dress (now on sale!) is a flattering v-neck tunic dress that is chic and easy in 100% silk crepe de chine.

The Anissa Dress
One of my favorite silhouettes from Trina Turk, the Anissa Dress (now on sale!) is the ultimate in bohemian chic for spring! In a great neutral shade of olive, this silk georgette tunic dress features flowy sleeves, a bold gold embellished neckline and a loose, easy fit that’s perfect for your casual weekend and getaway style. I loved the stripe/floral combo as well, with dolman sleeves, the vibrant floral blooms pop set against a classic black and white background. I could picture this dress dressed up or down. Lose the slip and wear it as a poolside cover-up! I love pieces that give me options.
I love the styling on the Arboretum dress on Kim
Dress her up or down, the Cayson dress, with V-neck styling and inverted stripes is super flattering.
Love puffy sleeves? Try the Fiona Top paired with the stripe Netti Pant!
Speaking of pants, Kim and I both loved the Odette pant. If you like a “set” there is a matching jacket that we both swooned over!
Kim is wearing the Winnie Dress, a v-neck shift features fashionably forward bell sleeves for feminine flair. I am wearing the Asteria Dress. Dress her up or down, I love the flattering v-neckline and slit sleeves to show a bit of skin.
Dana and her team who work at this Trina store are very helpful ladies and know what looks great. If you can’t make our event, do visit them sometime. The store itself is a modern gem- beautifully designed and always a joy to see what they have from this California designer. You can find more of the spring collection on the Trina Turk site. Also, Kim wrote a fabulous article, Trina Turk’s Desert Home Style a few years ago, if you’s like to read it I’ve linked it for you HERE!
