The Talbot’s Holiday Fashion Show is just of the many events I look forward to attending each Holiday Season. This fun community event features Talbots customers, like my Mom, modeling real-women holiday style – an event my grandmother (97!) and I enjoy participating in each and every year. No surprise, like most in-person events, the Talbot’s Fashion Show was canceled due to the Pandemic.
Determined to not let Covid-19 suck the fun and joy out of the holiday season, I thought it would be fun to have my mom, Cyndy Thomas (AKA my chic mom and Tablot’s virtuoso), write a guest post for AskSuzanneBell.com. And here she is, sharing her musings on ageless winter style, puffer vests and faux fur.
“Now as we transition to cooler weather, let’s talk classic clothes, faux fur and trendy fun! I am getting out boots from last year – the Uggs have come out of hiding as well. Now that I am in my late 70’s I am buying more traditional, classic clothes. (think Talbot’s) in traditional colors. I have always had a boho Anthro vibe which is ageless, but for fall and winter, clothes cost more, so I have blazers and sweaters that are timeless. Of course, I do have faux fur. That fur you seldom see in the wild! The leopard-spotted polyester is one of my favorite animals! Goes with everything and keeps my classic clothes young and fresh.”
