Comfort Clothing: Why I Own 4 Different Pairs of Leggings | Weekend Sale Picks

Before we talk about my favorite article of clothing right now, the legging…let’s talk sales! Anyone pick up one or two great Black Friday Deals today? There were so many offers out there, I actually felt bad for retailers. This is a game, like it or not, that every retailer has to play, if they want our attention. My favorite deals were Anthro (take 30% off everything), Nordstrom (extra 20% off most sale items), Madewell (20% off everything and free ship if you are willing to give up your email address to be an ‘insider”), Sephora, and Banana Republic (50% off any 5 items. The best part about shopping big sales these days, is you can do so in your pajamas – from the comfort of your favorite chair. Here’s a look at what I picked up during today’s sales.

I talk a lot about leggings over here on AskSuzanneBell, because when it comes to comfort, ease of style and versatility; you can’t beat a legging. That said, all leggings are not all the same; which is why I own 4 different styles, suited for 4 different occasions.

The Elevated Faux Leather Legging

For more leather legging looks, 10 gorgeous 40+ bloggers share their style in this post (HERE). The faux leather legging by Lysse, is my go-to, wear anywhere style these days. When I want to take my legging look up a notch, I grab this pair. With a high waist, control top, this legging keeps it’s shape, and stays up all day long.

The Seamed Ponte Legging

The seamed ponte legging from Lysse, is my everyday “polished” legging. Less edgy than my leather leggings, I wear these anywhere from work to running errands. Thicker and more substantial than my Hue leggings (below), I wear this legging as an alternative to a pant or jean; always with the butt and crotch area covered.

Athletic Legging

I’ve been a huge fan of the Zella everyday legging, and now there is a new reason to buy. As an alternative to the Lululemon legging, I recently picked up a pair of the high-waist everyday legging by Zella and it is fabulous! This is my legging for sightseeing, long airplane rides, a run to the mall, walking and yoga. What I love about this legging is I can work out, then throw a tunic sweater and tall boots or sneakers on – and go straight to a lunch date, and not feel like I am in my workout clothes. And, if you don’t have time to wash them, they are reversible!

The Hue wide waistband legging is my lounge legging, as well as the legging I grab when I’m wearing my OTK boots with a long sweater, or poncho. This style is also great layered under skirts or dresses, in colder areas. A less expensive alternative to Hue, would be the LuLaRoe Legging ($24.00), reviewed HERE.

Legging Care

I wash all my leggings in cold, inside out and hang dry. The dryer will ruin your leggings; they will fade quickly, pill and the elastic will break down in the heat of the dryer.
