You all know I love a maxi dress in the summertime. When jeans and pants offer the promise to stick to me in the heat, I pull out my summer dresses. The best part about a maxi dress is you can wear it with anything from flip flops to wedges – this one piece wonder involves little in the line of outfit planning. Pop on some accessories and you are ready for a backyard BBQ or patio cocktail party. Today’s dress is so unbelievably comfortable and light weight, I almost felt guilty as I headed out to dinner – wearing an outfit as comfortable as pajamas. The vibrant print of this dress is an instant mood-lifter, I think the pattern is so gorgeous. My dress is called the Magnolia, from GCGme.com. I selected this particular style for it’s halter neckline as I have really narrow shoulders. Being an banana shape, meaning my hips are about he same width as my shoulders with little waist definition, the knot detail at the waist gives the illusion of a waist line. The elastic in the back nips in the backside which is unusual for a maxi dress; providing shape from the front and backside – brilliant! The oversized bow at the back of the neckline is a fun detail as you leave a room.
Today’s maxi dress was gifted to me by GCGme.com (HERE). This site was new to me, so after checking it out for myself, I am thrilled to pass this online retailer on to you all. Specializing in maxi dress and jumpsuits, the size range is impressive; from small to plus size – there truly is a size for just about anyone interested in a chic, yet comfortable maxi dress. As far as sizing, I went with my regular size small which I think would fit a 4/6. If you are unsure of your size, GCGme.com offers a size chart on their website, which worked for me. They offer free ship to the UK and US with 30 day hassle free returns. As always, all opinions are my own.
If you love a maxi or jumpsuit, you may just want to pop on over to GCGme.com and check out their selection. They offer one of the largest selections of maxi dresses I have seen in a long time (over 100 styles!), plus their prices are amazing! My exact dress is now on sale for $49.95 (HERE), and is available in 4 prints. I’ve linked a few other favorites at the end of this post.
A statement on it’s own, I kept the rest of my outfit simple with large Gorjana hoops, a few Alexis Bittar lucite bangles, metallic block heel cork sandals, and a Banana Republic woven clutch in orange.

Oh wow, Suzanne, that’s a really beautiful dress. I have to confess that maxis these days are so predictable and boring that I’ve been completely turned off, and uninspired. I’m so glad I popped by your blog today, I would’ve missed this headturner otherwise xo
Hi Sheela! Yes, I totally agree with you – maxis sadly have become kinda a snore, same silhouette in un-origional patterns – and often unflattering. When they asked me to check out their line, I was pleasantly surprised to see the fun bold patterns and range of sizes and silhouettes offered, at great prices to boot! Nice to see you here and thanks for stopping by! xx
I think that is the prettiest maxi i have seen this season! the style is so pretty but the colors are my favorite! Thanks for joining Ladies Who Link Up today! Peace!

You look stunning in this maxi dress! The knot looks interesting in the front. Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style party!
THank you Nicole! I love the knot in the front as I really do lack a defined waistline. THis company offers so many options, for all figures and sizes, I was thrilled to be able to collaborate and share them with you all!
THanks for the link up!
Suzanne
I love everything about that maxi! I’m tortured right now because I know I shouldn’t buy yet another one. But that gorgeous print and all the styling details is soooo tempting
Theresa
I hear you Theresa! I probably didn’t need another one, yet this one is so different than my other maxis – it’s one I can wear for dressed up occasions, where is my others are a bit more casual. THe price is great too and last time I checked they even had a promo going – and many of their maxis are on sale…
thanks for stopping by!

I’m a sucker for a good maxi, vintage being my preference but this one is simply stunning on you.
