Why is it so difficult to find tops these days? I tell ya, I’m always on the look-out for tops that cover my behind and crotch area, of good quality and fit, at a reasonable price. Now really people, is that too much to ask?
The answer to my prayers, I’m thrilled to share a line of tops that fit the bill! Founded by Pauline Durban, Covered Perfectly is a company whose purpose is to provide flattering, comfortable clothing for women over 50 (but you 40 something gals, jump right in – these tops are fab!)
Note, as a style blogger, I am regularly asked to review product lines in exchange for product, yet I only share the ones I love. Today’s Empire Blouse was kindly gifted to me in exchange for a review. For reference, I am 5’7″ and am wearing a size small. Today’s post may contain affiliate links, but as always, all opinions and reviews are entirely my own.
Brilliantly designed, the ‘Maria’ top offers flattering details, plus the side gathers slim your waistline! I selected this top to review because of it’s options. With a double layer of fabric in the front, the empire waist design elevates the top beyond the basic, a design I can wear with leggings, skirts and denim to just about anywhere. Not your everyday t-shirt, Covered Perfectly garments are made in the USA for all shapes and sizes. The ‘Maria’ top is part of the MicroModal® collection. A 94% MicroModal®/ 6% Spandex blend makes these tops not only flattering but comfortable. You’ll find a large selection of tees and tops, in all different silhouettes and necklines at CoveredPerfectly.
What is MicroModal®?
The fiber is made of European beechwood, is completely natural and produced in Austria. This natural composition makes it a breathable fabric, suitable for wearing close to the skin. It’s described as the softest fabric in the world and is so gentle it feels like a second skin. It’s super soft and luxurious, you will love it!
About Today’s Outfit Share
For a business casual work day, I paired my new black tunic with my go-to Ruby Ribbon tummy control Suedette Leggings, tall boots and statement topper coat. Yes, I DO think it is perfectly acceptable to wear leggings to work, as long as you have the right amount of coverage and your leggings are not see-thru or faded. A long pearl statement tassel necklace elongates the look, keeping the rest of my accessories simple.
