About My Look:
The elements of today’s look are simple to re-create; a pair of paper bag waist jeans, a cashmere tee + a statement coat – pulled together with a camel coat and silver accessories. If you live in a mild climate like the California Bay Area, consider a “Coatigan”. UNLINED, a Coatigan offers the styling of a coat – without the weight and warmth. For all you long cardigan sweater ladies, the coatigan is a fabulous update. You’ll find a link to my EXACT coat, now on sale at UNIQLO, under “Outfit Details” below.

I live in Florida, where the winters are very mild and temperatures fluctuate between 50 and 80. We have a few colder days in January. Only people who live in Florida bundle up and wear jackets in the winter. The tourists wear shorts and flip flops no matter what!

Your shoes just make the outfit! It is really interesting how the outer layers can make a look seem so different. Great for versatility.

Thank you Mireille! I am all about metallic shoes right now. I have a pair of booties that I have been eyeing for awhile – they just add a little “extra” to any outfit! You are so right, outer layers are what makes a winter outfit. You could be wearing leggings and a tee under a beautiful coat and who would know? I think that is what I love so much about winter styling. Thanks for linking up and Happy New Year ! xx Suzanne
Your coat is so elegant and Classy. Love IT! And your Climate!
Hi Nancy! We are blessed with a fabulous climate – though the in-betweens are what get me. We call it bi-polar weather. It’s when the season can’t make up its mind. We really do not have a fall or spring – just cold or hot. We also have big fluctuations in the temps. It can be in the 30’s in the AM and spike to high 70’s by afternoon. Staying comfortable is all about layers, which is why I love cardigans so much.
I love your bold coat, it’s just stunning! xx Suzanne
So many great ideas Suzanne! I’m always so inspired by our collaborations. Love your camel coat!
Hi Andy! This was a super fun collaboration. I loved your idea of adding the weather as it gives perspective to how we dress for our climates. Your coat is so pretty and I love the red accents! Happy New Year! xx Suzanne
I love your camel coatigan and silver shoes! Such a stylish outfit!

Thank you Emma! As much as I love heavy coats, due to weather, I am all about sweater coats. It’s a way for me to “fake” that cozy winter look without overheating. YOUR coat is just gorgeous. I loved including the climate in our posts this time around. It brings perspective! xx Suzanne
Hi Suzanne,
Love seeing how you interpret each month’s theme! You cozy chic vibe is on point with your “coatagin”! Our collaborations are always so fun!

Your neutral coatigan looks so good – such a great colour for layering with in the cooler weather! We don’t need mnay think coats here in winter in Brisbane either!
Hope that your week is going well 🙂 It’s a busy week here as it’s my first week back at work after the Christmas break! I’ve got what I wore for Christmas up on the blog now.
