I’ve always felt, we have two seasons here in Northern California – summer and winter. We just went from temps in the high 80’s on Halloween, to rain and cold on Monday, and god knows, we need the rain. It’s November, and our winter is beginning. Now, to most of the country, I’m sure we seem like a bunch of wimps with our mild winters (which may resemble fall, for the rest of the country), but what it really means to me is – it’s boot season!
Whohoo! Anyone else excited?
Today was the first day I could wear my boots – without wishing I hadn’t.
With the cool temps, I’m bring back two AskSuzanneBell posts, which circulate around in the Pinterest world, daily.
If you want to skip these two posts – Just scroll on down, to get the scoop on this week’s Boden sale, my new Target look for less find, and Target’s latest collab with Faribault.
#1 DIY BOOT TOPPERS
Boot toppers to me are like scarves and hand warmers; they serve a purpose by adding warmth and style. Toppers give the look of thick cozy socks. We all know it would be pretty difficult to zip our boots, with big ‘ol chunky socks in them, not to mention – uncomfortable! I think they give balance on the leg, while wearing heavier sweaters and coats.
Bottom line – boot toppers take your boots from plain to fabulous!
#2 HOW TO TIE A BLANKET SCARF
There are endless ways to tie a scarf, some more obvious than others.
For today, I’ll show you how to get this look:
and this look:
The difference?
Look one, is wrapped and tied in front.
Look two, is wrapped and tucked – no need to tie.
