I recently had the pleasure of attending a lovely event presented by the Foothill Auxiliary to the Peninsula Family Services. The event which was held locally featured a boutique, lunch, holiday table settings and floral designs. With the holidays right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite table settings as inspiration for your own home this season.
Before we get to the table settings, I want to introduce you to a very talented person I met at the event, David Braddy
Since 2002 David has been gracing Bay Area homes and offices with his imaginatively striking floral displays. In his displays aside from fresh flowers, he uses pods, fruits, vegetables, objects d’art and very unusual vases. At this event he created a multitude of amazing floral displays, live on stage which were auctioned off along with a spectacular living moss table that now lives in the home of one lucky wining bidder.
David creating a unique tropical arrangement on stage working only with materials available at the venue.
The finished product. I love how he took the vase in front, wrapped it in coconut husk then tied it off with shell beads to give a tropical feel to the arrangement.
Here are just a few of the designs he created while on stage, I think they are so unique!
This large arrangement screams fall.
I love the use of the peppers and squash mixed with the sunflowers and how fantastic is this large container?
Tulips and persimmon, beautiful fall color
This simple arrangement really showcases the unique tile container
Quick and easy, hydrangeas with geraniums and moss
This living table is wrapped in saran wrap and covered with moss, fantastic.
I wish I had room for one of these in my house.
Oh what fun we would have together!

Now on to the table settings
I loved this bold black and white table setting.
I am partial to the gorgeous green color used in this presentation, I use it in my home whenever I can.
I love the black and white stripe bold napkins and the texture of this tablecloth.
How fun are the green balls in lieu of more candles?
Using a single color in the centerpiece makes for a bold statement
How fun would this be for an exotic dinner party?
Love this china pattern.
Love the use of take out containers in this table setting. So clever!
I love red, pink and green for the Holidays. So festive.
Need a centerpiece in a pinch? Fill a glass container with glass balls, done.
What a fabulous mantel setting. Rustic yet elegant!
Birch and hydrengeas, wonderful texture.
Silver, white and gold…simply elegant
How fun would this setting be for New Year’s Eve?
I love the colors and festive elements
Great idea to hang an ornament from the chairs with a big colorful bow!
Black and gold china and stemware are the perfect compliment to this bold tablecloth and decor
These are just a few of the wonderful tables settings that were displayed at the luncheon. I hope you are able to pull some inspiration for your own home for the holidays.
I know I will be pulling elements from the rustic mantlepiece for my own mantle along with the black, white, green color story for my dining room.
