Welcome to “Everything Wore Last Week,” where I’m sharing five outfits I put together over the past week. Trust me, I definitely don’t have it all figured out, but I thought it’d be fun to show you how I’ve been styling some of my favorite pieces. The goal here isn’t perfection—just finding inspiration and making the most of what’s already in your closet. I’ll break down each look, explain why certain pieces work together, and throw in a few tips to make it easy to swap things out to fit your own vibe. You’ll see everything from casual, laid-back outfits to more pulled-together looks, so there’s a little something for everyone. Most of what I’m wearing are closet staples, but if something is current or I can find a similar piece, I’ll link it for you. Hopefully, this gives you a little inspo for your own wardrobe and helps you mix up your outfits for the week ahead!

October is a perfect time to visit the California Coast, so we packed up and headed to Carmel-by-the-Sea for the week, dog in tow. After settling in, I couldn’t resist visiting a few of my favorite shops, including Anthropologie, where the selection was on point! I’m being selective about what I add to my closet, but after trying on a few pieces, I couldn’t pass up this fun fringe blazer/coatigan. With its 70’s vibe and four color options – including a gorgeous plaid – it adds a retro touch to my more classic looks—something I have had on my wishlist for this season. I felt it ran true to size. I also liked this faux-suede boyfriend blazer. The store only had an XL to try on, but you can get an idea. I would order this in a small.

vest, exact (in black, on sale), similar in tan or ivory | jeans, older style | cashmere tee, similar | pony hair mules | necklace
After treating myself to an overdue manicure and pedicure, Rick and I headed out for beer flights and dinner at our favorite Brewery in town; Alvarado Street Brewery (highly recommend for a casual and fun dinner when visiting Carmel-by-the-Sea). This was the first time I had an opportunity to wear my Zella puffer vest (sold out in tan, but on sale in black, here or a newer version in tan or ivory, here), I love that it is reversible to sherpa, for a totally different layering look.

Thursday

L'Agence Alicent Jean casual outfit
jean | tank | Birkenstock sandal
My October allergies were flaring up, but it was such a gorgeous day that I headed to the Farmers Market and soaked up some vitamin D on a walk with Zoey. It was unusually hot for the Coast—a simple outfit, my favorite jeans, tank, Birkenstocks uniform. Adding a belt made me feel like I made a little effort before heading out the door.

Friday

What I Wore | Cashmere Jenni Kayne Cardigan
jean, updated version | cardigan, similar, similar | boots, similar, similar
Getting dressed is a whole lot easier with a few go-to uniforms. For me, one is wide-leg jeans and a fitted tank. Add a belt, your shoe of choice, and a topper—like a jacket, blazer, or cashmere cardigan—and out the door you go!

Saturday

What I Wore | Sanctuary pleated skirt
top, similar, similar | skirt | shoes, similar | bag, similar
I’ve been waiting for the weather to cool so I could wear this fabulously fun animal-print skirt—a birthday gift from a dear friend last month. This skirt can be styled so many ways, with colors ranging from red, brown, and black to olive, off-white, and, in this case, charcoal gray. Though I’m a gold girl at heart, I chose silver accessories to pair with the gray tones. The suede hobo adds a touch of ’70s elegance I love in an outfit.
