Happy Monday, friends! If you’re new here, Mondays are when I share a roundup of five outfits I styled over the past week. I always love seeing how other women put together their outfits—it’s so inspiring—so I thought I’d share my own to spark some styling ideas for you. I don’t have it all figured out, but that’s part of the fun!
In each post, I’ll break down each look, highlight why certain pieces work well together, and share tips for making swaps to suit your personal style. Expect a mix of casual, laid-back outfits and more polished looks—something for every mood and occasion. Most items are closet staples, but when something is current (or I find a similar option), I’ll link it for you. I hope this gives you a few new ideas for your own wardrobe and helps add a fresh twist to your weekly outfits!
Day 1
plaid jacket | denim dickey | mules (now 25% off , black Friday event @ Jenni Kayne| handbag, similar
Though the Bay Area doesn’t see a dramatic change in leaves, the Chinese Pistache puts on a stunning show for a few short weeks. With lunch with a friend on the calendar, I reached for my favorite wide-leg jeans (still not over them!) and a Veronica Beard plaid jacket, layered with a denim dickey for a cozier fall vibe. You’ve seen my Jenni Kayne calf-hair mules in regular rotation – a great shoe option when it is still too hot for boots – while a suede hobo added a touch of ’70s flair I love.
Day 2
jeans, 30% off, here | cardigan, similar at JCrew, in 5 colors and 40% off (under $100), here and in cashmere 25% off @ Chicos here, here | sneakers | tote bag
With errands to run, comfort was key—knits and sneakers it was. I paired mid-wash cropped wide-leg jeans with trainers and topped it off with a cashmere coatigan for a polished yet comfy look.
Day 3
Oversized blazer, anthro older style | mules (now 25% off)| handbag, similar
You might notice this is the same outfit as Monday – the plaid jacket swapped out for an oversized navy blazer. Some days are just like that!
Day 4
jeans, updated version | L’agence cardigan, thrifted | double layer tank, more colors available | belt (more colors available) | pumps (sold out), same shoe in a mule in 9 colors, here
Post-gym, I threw this on for drinks with a friend. A calf-hair animal print belt and suede kitten heels perfectly transition my L’Agence summer-weight jeans into fall. Finding a “good navy” tank can be tricky, but this one from Boden nails it. I love the gold thread border on this L’Agence cardigan. The red faux ostrich bag? A 25-year-old Nordstrom favorite—still going strong!
Day 5
Track pant, updated version | jacket, similar on sale | tank | jacket, thrifted | sneakers
Today, we hit the road for a week at the coast. Track pants feel like a step up from leggings, paired with my go-to ribbed tank—kind of gives a jumpsuit vibe, right?—a utility jacket, and classic trainers. Here’s how the same “uniform” can take on a completely different look with a new third layer.
plaid long coat, similar, similar both on sale
