February should be a place to hygge and re-group. Yet here I am, racing around playing catch up at work and at home, nursing sick kids who should be back on their regular school schedule, feeling deprived of exercise and vitamin D, and missing the magic of the holiday season. My tree is fake. Can’t I just leave it up till Easter? A little magic in the form of a tree, my shining winter star!
With my tree now carefully tucked away until next November, I find myself looking forward to March, a new month with new plans. But before we dive in, I invite you to put up your feet, pour yourself a cup of tea and check out this month’s roundup of blog favorites!
1. Sandals in February? You betcha!
Believe it or not, now is the perfect time to grab incredible deals on spring shoes. After digging around the sale rack at Nordies, I found some fabulous wedges, all offering comfort and style for your denim, skirt, and dress looks, the minute the weather takes a turn.
Nordstrom’s return policy makes it possible for me to order a broad selection, keep what I love and return the rest. Here’s a look at what I ordered along with (THIS) peep-toe mule at regular price.
Here’s a look at a few more wedges that caught my eye. I can’t believe the price on the Caslon Kenley! Was $99.95, now $39.98, in 4 colors (CLICK HERE).
Sneakers more your jam? Well, they’re on sale right now as well!
2. Obag | Browse the website (HERE)
Have you heard of O-bag? Made in Italy, the O-bag shop is worth a stop the next time you head over the Atlantic. O-bag can be purchased in the States or online, but they are not readily available and the selection pales in comparison to what you will find in Italy or other European Countries. Each O-bag is fully customizable and can be mixed and matched to compliment any outfit, preference, or mood on the day. How fun is that? And since each component is available separately, I have so much fun mixing and matching the various handles and liners to create different looks. Here’s a look at how I’m wearing my Obag right now. 3. Halogen Fitted Layering T-shirt | $39.00 (CLICK HERE)
If you are looking for a longer length fitted tee with a “non-choking” neckline, (THIS) modal tee from Halogen might be what you are looking for. Sizing is slightly generous as I am wearing an XS here in the photo below. Shop all 3 colors + stripe in XS-XXL at Nordstrom (HERE).
4. Pull-On Jeans
An alternative to leggings pull on jeans offer the look of a pant with the comfort of a legging. My exact pair is by William B, purchased at the William B boutique in Town and Country Center in Palo Altos, CA. Here are a few options I found at Nordies to check out.
5. R & Co Texture Spray & Pre-Shampoo Masque
Are you familiar with R & CO hair products? When R & CO asked if I would be willing to review one of their products, the answer was a big yes as I already own a ton of the line. My daughter and I both use their shampoo and conditioners and I’ve been a fan their Blow Out Balm (HERE), for years. My latest obsession is the Trophy Texture Spray (HERE) and the PRE-SHAMPOO Leave-in Treatment Masque (gifted to me by R&C0, Amazon | HERE).
Texture Spray: Unlike other texture sprays, this lightweight spray can be used on damp as well as dry hair. On damp hair, it provides styling hold – on dry hair and second-day hair it gives hair texture and shine. Like all R&CO products it smells amazing!
Leave-In Masque: Kindly gifted to me by R+Co, you apply the masque to your hair, kick up your feet, throw back a cup of coffee while checking emails, then rinse it out in the shower. That’s right, it is applied BEFORE you shower, not after your shampoo. 1 masque, 1 shower rinse, done.
