Welcome back to an all new Five on Friday! This past week, while on the hunt for a pair of jeans to replace my favorite pair of Citizen boyfriend jeans  – who are no longer allowed in public due to a huge 8″ X 6″ hole on the knee – and an investment blazer for the season, I stopped by Nordstrom to try a few things on. I snapped a few photos while I was there, let’s take a look.

1.Blazers | Veronica Beard & Cinq A Sept

I’ve been on the hunt for an investment blazer for some time, and before I made my mind up on the Veronica Beard Terre Dickey Jacket (next up), I stopped by Nordstrom, to try a few on for size and styling. Here’s the front runners. Veronica Beard Blazers, dressing room reviews Left to right:  VB Hollis Vegan Leather Jacket (here) | Cinq A Sept Faux Leather Blazer (here) | VB Taja Dickey Jacket (here), paired with this gorgeous VB Ari Vegan Leather Skirt in green (here) ** For refrence, I wear a 6 in Veronica Beard, and found all of these pieces to run pretty true to size. IMO, the Cinq A Sept Blazer ran a full size big. I’m wearing a size 2 in this photo, but would purchase a size 4, so I could layer underneath it **

2.Veronica Beard Terre Dickey Jacket

Veronica Beard Terre jacket Veronica Beard Terre Dickey Jacket (here) | VB Cashmere Hooded Dickey (here). The decision to keep this jacket did not come easy. I loved something about each of the prior 3 jackets I tried on. The green faux leather jacket was so spot on trend, and the skirt was super flattering. The tweed jacket fit like a glove, and the fabric, with a little sparkle woven in, was gorgeous. The Cinq A Sept Jacket – once I got the size right – fit beautifully, I loved the ruched sleeve, and it was a bit more affordable than the others – but, I felt the quality of the Veronica Beard was better. Plus, I like the versatility of being able to add a dickey, like this hooded cashmere one, to my wardrobe. I already own the VB scuba jacket in black along with the Slate Denim Dickey (see how it looks on here), so I felt the Terre jacket would be a more versatile piece, in my current wardrobe.

3. Favorite Dress, New Fabrications and Prints

Somerset Dress in velvet (here), chiffon (here) | Anthropologie Some of you may recall my review of the Somerset Dress this past spring. Clearly a winner, Anthropologie continues to push this dress out in all fabrication; most recently in 4 solid and 1 exquisite velvet print, along with 2 chiffon prints. Which is your favorite?

4. Commando Crop Faux Leather Legging with Feather Trim

Ooh La La!! After mentioning this fab legging in the 9/29 edition of Friday Favorites, she’s now sold out at Nordies. My analytics show ya’ll really like this festive pant, so I dug around the web, and found this pretty, still available at Saks (here) and Commando (here).
