Friday Favorites | 5 Ways To Style A Slip Dress, Boots, Sale Picks + Home Inspiration

 

Hello and welcome to Friday Favorites! Today we’re focusing on all things Style and Fashion. From style tips (how to wear a slip dress for fall), shopping links (my favorite booties), this week’s sale picks, to a round-up of 50+ fall entertaining and home decor ideas. 

1. Booties

After trying on a stack of booties, I found a keeper in the Franco Sarto Luca Bootie | HERE – available in 4 colors plus leopard. My personal choice was the tan color (HERE), which I’ve already received a ton of compliments on. The Luca bootie goes with just about anything, from midi dresses and skirts to skinny, flare, and bootcut jeans. Another favorite of yours and mine is the Vince Tasha bootie | HERE. 2. This Week’s Sale Picks

This past week, my inbox has been full of sale notifications. If you are looking for a belt that will work with just about anything, I just picked up the O-RIng Belt from Rebeca Minkoff, now on sale in black and brown at Zappos (HERE). Note, I did go up a size in this belt so that I could wear it with jeans or over a sweater. I recommend checking measurements to see if you need to do so as well. The Tory Burch Miller Flip Flop Sandal is on sale in select colors at Nordstrom (HERE) and select faux leather moto jackets in flattering silhouettes from Blank NYC have been marked down (HERE). I personally own, and love THIS zebra stripe sweater from Loft (runs TTS in petite, reg and plus) – all sweaters, outerwear and accessories at Loft are 30% off (HERE).

3. 5 Ways To Style a Slip Dress For Fall 

You absolutely can wear a slip dress when the weather turns, in fact, it’s my preference. A thin tee such as THIS (Uniqlo) or THIS (Chelsea @ Nordstrom) layered under your slip dress provides coverage, warmth, and bonus – you can wear a bra! Depending on your weather, add a jacket or coat – boots or booties, and you are good to go! I just spotted this long sleeve option at New York and Co on sale for $12.50 (HERE).

2. Layer a short sleeve tee UNDER the slip dress

5. Layer a kimono, cardigan, bomber, trench coat, or long duster coat OVER your slip dress

 

ASB Style Tip:

• When the weather refuses to cooperate with your stye game (it’s fall but feels like summer); wear-now silhouettes in fall colors will keep you from overheating, while “heavier” accessories create a transitional look. Switching up your sunglasses or bag will feel and look “fall”, even when it’s 90+ degrees outside.
