I knew I needed a block heel sandal in my life, when I spotted this fabulous pair of Prada’s, on my girlfriend Celeste, last fall.
This photo was taken a Peets coffee. Come on, don’t you all take photos of your friend shoes, while dishing over a latte? I had seen Celeste wear these sandals with denim, skirts, trousers and dresses – I loved the look every time!
(PS love her polish color? Details can be found, in this post from Fall 2014, HERE)
Knowing I wouldn’t be stepping up to buy this pair from Prada – my search began.
Finally, last March, I discovered a pair by Sesto Meucci, that fit the bill.
The block heel, makes this shoe very walkable, and the double strap keeps my foot snug in place!
If you follow regularly, along with AskSuzanneBell, you have seen me in this shoe many-a-time.
I have had enough readers write in, asking me for the details on this sandal – it’s time to share.
I did an extensive search, and I cannot seem to track my exact shoe down, but I found a few pairs that are similar.

Now, for a few shots from inside the dressing room at Neiman Marcus Last Call!
You may have caught my jumpsuit post earlier this week. If you missed it, you can find it HERE
At the time of my last posting, I had only tried one of the jumpsuits on – above left, by C&C California, which I love. I had a chance to pop into Neiman Marcus Last Call and try on the style from Wilt(top right), as well as one from Neiman Marcus brand label (lower right).
Here’s a look:
C&C California HERE | was $108.00, now $39.50
Pros: love the racerback style, fun pockets, lightweight for hot weather, adjustable length. Comes in 2 fun heathered/sporty colors.
Cons: requires a racerback/athletic style bra or tank underneath. Thinner fabric is less forgiving.
Wilt HERE | was $185.00, now $44.50
Pros: of the 3 styles I tried on, this style had the thickest fabric which makes it very forgiving in the rear and thighs. It’s a nice heavier knit-which I liked. I could wear a regular bra, and I like the back “V” detail. The waist can be adjusted to wear at either the waistline or lower on the hip. I like the length as it is a “set” crop – so no messing around with the bottom. There is more room in the hip on this piece, than the style from C&C above. And, it comes in 3 great colors!
Cons: if you don’t like the set crop length, this may not be for you, otherwise, I really like this jumpsuit.
Neiman Marcus Label HERE | was $88.00, now $45.50
Pros: wider strap allows flexibility with bra options. Style is more generous in the hip and thigh area-so much so I considered sizing down. For those who prefer a longer length, this style is NOT cropped.
Cons: if you are short waisted, this style hits higher – perfect if you are an hourglass or pear shape, not so much for me. If you have narrow shoulders, the straps are set a bit wide.
A look at all three, side-by-side
