Girl’s Got a New Bootie! Marmi Shoes

Last Friday, just in time for the weekend, my new booties arrived!

 A bootie you can wear with just about anything,

I found the Vaneli ‘Kadar’ boot, to be super comfortable, straight out of the box.

The  2″ chunky heel and rubber sole, make this an anywhere, everyday bootie!

Last Saturday night was chilly, so I finally got to break out one of my new fall pieces.

From Joie, you may recall my little obsession with this piece, back during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (reviewed and linked HERE). Sold out, last I checked over at Nordstrom (HERE) , the ‘Berit’ sweater is on sale over at Saks ($238.90, HERE) as well as Bloomingdales ($298.50, HERE). Still appears to be full price over at Neiman’s and Bergdorf’s. Note: the newer version of this sweater may have a bit more camel color in it than mine, it’s difficult to tell online.

Metallic, a big boot trend this season, dresses the boots up.

Torn between the bronze or black color, I went with the black. But, I think all 4 colors are fabulous!

With our weather cooperating, I had a 2nd chance to work my booties, with a sweater dress, and poncho.

The substantial weight of the ‘Jake’ pendant, balances out the heaviness of my poncho and sweater dress.

Boot Socks

Last winter, I spent a ton of time, in search of the perfect sock to wear with booties. The ribbed boot sock from Hue fits the bill perfectly, so I’ll save you some time and link it up HERE.  A small detail, this is a tough one to get right. In a perfect world, I think booties look great without socks. However, booties cut into my legs when I walk, making socks are must. Hue boot socks are thin, yet substantial – peeking out of the bootie just enough.
