I love my skinny jeans. I have a closet full of them. I look forward to the time of year when the weather cools and tall boots with skinnies become my go-to uniform. But sometimes you just want something different. Mix things up a bit.
Straight leg jeans and I are having a moment and here’s why.
As you all know, I am wild about booties this season. But here’s the thing, my booties have not been working with my skinny jeans. Skinnies either half tuck/bunch up around my ankles in my booties or if I cuff them I feel like my lower legs are in sausage casings because true skinnies are tough to roll up especially for us gals with athletic calves.
The solution? Straight leg jeans. I like them cuffed with my short booties or full length with flats or heels. And yes, I do have a favorite pair to share with you all, but first some straight leg denim inspiration via Pinterest.

Yes, there are other straight leg jeans out there. These just happen to be a favorite of mine and many others if you read the reviews HERE
Why? First, the stretch of this denim is fantastic. It is stretchy and luxurious. I wore mine 2 days in a row and they are not stretched out! Seriously, I was surprised myself. They look just as good today as they did when I took them out of the wash to wear them. Second, the rise is a bit higher which helps eliminate the dreaded muffin top that occurs with low rise jeans. Third, when I sit down no gap in the rear. They are high enough in the back to avoid the dreaded panty reveal from behind! Last, they are the perfect alternative to my skinny jeans and make my legs look super long! Slim through the butt, thigh but a bit roomier in the calf. So comfortable I think I could sleep in them!

Paige ‘Skyline’ Straight in Stream HERE | 6pm $94.99. 6pm is a discount site so I cannot guarantee that these are the same ones I tried on at Nordstrom. The wash I have is the ‘Palmer’. These could be a past season wash. Sometimes the denim that ends up in discount stores and site is not exactly the same. It could be a wash that was not as popular, though sometimes you luck out. Be sure to confirm before ordering. They are a great price.

Hey Cindy! Check out the Paiges for sure. I think they offer what you love with KUT, but at this price they are not much more than the KUT denim and if you like the fit, I know you will love the feel and the wash. The one in the photo that I m wearing is the Palmer wash. The Midlake is their TRANSCEND denim and it is super soft, you may want to check those out too since they are on a temporary price match. The Palmer is the one that has been around longer. I like both. The newer washes were not in the store when I bought mine. If they are sold out in the store, try another for size and they can find it and ship it to you at no cost. I find in Paige, I wear the same size every time. The tunic is from Nanako, a new designer I stumbled across in Nolita on my past trip to NYC. I LOVED her store! She had just opened her flagship boutique, great tunics and tops.
