If you’ve been searching for ideas on how to shop for and style this season’s blazer, you’ve come to the right place. Today, with the help of my friends Nina, Andy and Julie, we’ve come up with 4 unique blog posts, each designed to inspire you to step into your own closet, and perhaps try out some new looks.
For this post, I put together 8 outfits, each one, styled back to my Veronica Beard Scuba Jacket. And once you’ve read my post, be sure to hop over and read up on how my fashionable friends are styling their favorite blazers, get fresh outfit ideas along with shopping tips from across the country, in this month’s collaboration from the Coast to Coast Style Collective.
A Wardrobe Workhorse
If you want to invest in a piece to wear for seasons to come, consider adding a blazer. A wardrobe workhorse, the blazer of today is available in every fabrication from sweater knit to faux leather – with all sorts of timeless, classic options. Also referred to as a “jacket”, this must-have topper has a place in any wardrobe, for any lifestyle. See the bottom of today’s post for a few of my favorites, at every price.
Shopping Veronica Beard
Of my 3 Veronica Beard Blazers, only one, my “Terre Jacket”, was purchased at full price. The other two, an orangey-red “Beacon Jacket” (pictured below), and a “Scuba Jacket” in black – new with tags – were both purchased secondhand.

Second-Hand Shopping Tip
Know your fit, in the silhouette you are ordering, as not all VB blazers fit the same. And though my usual size in Veronica Beard is a 6, I can range between a 4 and 8, depending on the silhouette. I have found fantastic deals on Veronica Beard pieces at Poshmark, ThredUp, RealReal, and local consignment shops.
For retail, I prefer to shop directly at VeronicaBeard.com as they offer some great promos when you get on their email list, along with a 20% off birthday discount.
8 Ways to Wear a Veronica Beard Scuba Dickey Jacket
Wrinkle-resistant and super comfortable, the Scuba Jacket, designed with stretch nylon fabric, zip pockets, and snap closures, is my go-to blazer for work, a night out, or in lieu of a cardigan or denim jacket. An iconic piece from the Veronica Beard Dickey Jacket Collection, this jacket becomes even more versatile, when you zip one of the many beautiful dickey options – like the denim dickey, I added into a few of today’s looks – into the jacket’s hidden zipper, behind the lapel.
1. Veronica Beard Scuba Jacket + Sweater Dress
2. Veronica Beard Scuba Jacket + Velvet Gypsy Skirt
3. add the denim dickey…voila!

6. Veronica Beard Scuba Jacket + Cashmere Hoodie Sweater + Jeans

Suzanne,
I love all the ways you’ve styled your VB Blazer and that you’ve shown there is no limit to dressing blazers up or down and everything in between! I’m really looking forward to all of our upcoming collaborations as Coast to Coast Style Colletive!
Thank you Julie! When I was putting this post together, I was struck by just how versatile the VB DIckey blazer is. If i had more time, I could have created so many more looks, and this post only showcased one of my two dickies! The options are truely endless. And I love them for travel as you can pack one jacket, 2 dickies and have all different combinations.
This was such a fun collaboration, I love that we get to partner up once again for sharing our love of style!

I love Veronica Beard jackets too! I love every look you styled and it is so great that you were able to get a couple of VB jackets on sale!
Hi Nina! Yes, you and I share the VB blazer addiction. I love that they are timeless and the quality is top notch. And yes, I wanted readers to know that if they love the style and quality of VB, it IS readily available in the second hand market – even in black. My scuba jacket was around $250, new with tags! crazy huh?
This was such a fun collaboration, I’m already looking forward to next month!

I know this post is all about blazers, but girl. Can we please talk about those gold booties! I need them in my life! I look forward to reading more from the other members of the group. I feel like I learn so much from everyone, and love the different flavor each blogger brings to the table. Cheers!
I too loved this collaboration so much, the ideas and tips are endless and so helpful. OK, you need a pair of gold booties! I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair since September, and FINALLY found this pair at Boden – with the perfect heel height and not TOO shiny. AND they are really comfortable with a pointy toe that works so well with flare jeans.
I’m already looking forward to our next collaboration!
xx
