Happy Monday and welcome to an all new Stylish Monday Style Post and Global LInk Up Party! Speaking of style, what comes to mind when you think of summer fashion? Lounging poolside, mimosa in hand? Lakeside in a swimsuit and sarong? Dining al-fresco in all white outfit? Denim shorts and a flowy tank top for a picnic in the park? Sipping sweet tea on the patio in a simple tank dress and an oversized floppy hat?
For me, the Pandemic has changed how I view my wardrobe. Now more than ever, what we wear can set the tone or mood for the day (more in Why What You Wear Matters | HERE) – and these day’s I’ll take a mood lifter whenever I can get one! For example, when I want to be transported poolside in Palm Springs, I might don a Caftan in my backyard. Dreaming of cocktails with friends? I throw on a kimono, my fancy gold shoes, and pour myself a sangria spritzer. And who knows, with the right outfit you may find yourself turning up the speakers and dancing alone on your patio as the sun sets. Getting dressed for “me” each day has given me the freedom to experiment and take more risks when it comes to fashion, with comfort, elegance, bold color choices, and unique prints at the forefront – pieces like the Caftan I’m wearing today.
What I’m Wearing
I’ll admit, I have a weakness when it comes to a gorgeous print. So when I saw this stunning Jennafer Grace golden yellow palm print Caftan, I knew it needed a spot in my wardrobe. A truly effortless piece, I can pop this caftan over anything from a swimsuit to a bralette and feel chic and fancy all day long. And when I needed to pick up a few things from the market, I simply tied the hem in 2 knots, added a banana bag for my money and mask, and was ready to go. I’ve never received so many compliments in the grocery aisle before!

Suzanne! this is one of the best caftan prints I’ve seen in a while! there’s a fine line between just a common caftan and one that is chic!! this one is chic!! and I agree, i am dressing for myself and changing to suit whatever mood i’m in or whatever I am doing in the house, or for the limited socializing we might do.

Hi Lucy! The belt bag was inspired by a fellow caftan lover. I thought it was such a great idea – allowing me to wear my caftan wherever I need to go. I also saw an idea where someone 1/2 tucked the caftan into jeans. Sounds odd, but it was super cute. WHen It cools off around here I will have to give that a try! You are so put together for a resort, the beach, a lounging party or a cocktail party by the pool. This would work for an outdoor casual summer 2020 wedding, too. Oh Ada, you are too sweet! It was funny though, random compliments from InstaCart shoppers…LOL! You are so right about the versitility of this caftan. I only wish I could wear it – and style it in more ways. I have the coolest snake lucite mules and fancy bing to wear with it when we can get out and go places again. But until then, my birdies and flip flops will have to do!
