It’s Here! Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Catalog Preview

It’s that time of year again – time to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

What is it? Once a year, during the dog days of summer for retailers, Nordstrom offers up new fall arrivals, ON SALE to the public July 17th – August 3rd. What’s unique about the Nordstom Anniversary Sale, is the sale offerings are on new arrivals, which will be marked up to regular price and become a part of fall 2015 inventory after August 4th.

Best way to shop the sale? As you cardholders know, the catalog is already live and ready to be shopped starting July 9th. Yes, as a Nordstrom cardholder you get early access to all sale items, before the public from July 9th-July 16th. That said, if you have your heart set on something, get it before the sale goes public as in my experience the real deals go on during the pre-sale time frame. Sound overwhelming? Make an appointment with your store’s personal stylist – the service is free of charge and will save you time! I shopped the sale last year with a Personal Stylist, (tip: Christina Tito at the Palo Alto store is awesome!) and she saved me time by locating pieces that would work best me, from shoes to my favorite jacket for fall – painlessly!

What do I look for? Being out here in California, I tend to pass cold weather items as we don’t see a chill out in these parts till after Thanksgiving. That said, this is my sale to check out deals on bras, panties (Natori, Hanky Panky two faves), shape and active wear. Looking for a new handbag or shoes? The prices are great! I love browsing the jewelry, watches and sunglass selection. I check out the new items from favorite brands that are not usually on sale i.e. Vince, Tory Burch, Premium Denim, DVF, Rebecca Taylor, Rag & Bone and more!  Last, there are loads of great offers in cosmetics for you cosmetic junkies out there!
