It’s On! ASB Picks For the Nordstrom 1/2 Yearly Sale

Ladies its on!

The Nordstrom 1/2 yearly sale starts today.   First come first serve this sale doesn’t mess around.  This is a clearance sale so if you like it grab it while you can, sizes go fast!

In honor of this exciting event I am bringing you some of my favorite sale items.  The site was live at midnight last night.  I will add any additional items I find during the day as well as post updates to my Facebook page to keep you all in the know.

Boots

There are tons of great sale styles, I narrowed it down to my top three boots. You’re welcome!

I have personally tried on each of these myself; all three have great online reviews.  I found they all ran true to size for me as well as for my girlfriend who helped model and took these photographs for you!  You can thank her too.

All three are walkable and comfortable.  I don’t do uncomfortable.  I can walk all day in each of these styles.

Available in black, gray and brown (my favorite!).  The gray suede is really gray.  It is less distressed in real life; I was hoping the toe was going to be darker in person.

The brown color has a burnished toe so it goes great with black and grays as well.

I love all three of these styles and have personally tried each one on.  All three run true to size and are available in multiple color options.

Here is a side-by- side comparison. I like them both.  The main difference for me was that the Bernardo one is more fitted and has a hood. I bought the Bernardo in black.

I also like these two puffer vests by Michael Kors but was unable to try either on, as they were not available in the store.  Both are very fun!  HERE  and HERE (this was already sold out in my size, I am hoping that Nordstrom restocks if for me!)

SWEATERS

I love the cut of this sweater, it reminds me of Vince. It looks a lot like a Vince sweater for WAY less.   For me it ran big and I did size down.  Reviews are a bit mixed as some found it itchy. I am very sensitive to itchy sweaters it itched just a little.  I was at a lunch yesterday and my girlfriend in the photo (thank you Michelle  for letting me take your picture) who was wearing it with tall boots, so cute!  I had to look at the label as I thought it was a Vince sweater!  Anyway, she said it was not itchy to her at all.  If you are comfortable layering it or don’t find things itchy, it may be for you!  It is a wonderfully cut sweater with the longer back, shirttail hem and side slits.

I can see just throwing this on with jeans and boots and running out the door.  I think it can be dressed up for a casual evening as well. Great price!

I am loving the modern side zip styling.  As you can see in the photo, I forgot to layer it with a tee so it looks kind of off.  As you can see on the model, this style should be  layered. This is definitely a casual sweater as it is a cotton rib. True to size.

SKIRTS

I absolutely love this skirt!  I personally own it and will be doing a post on accordion pleat skirts in the next few weeks.  Since this just got marked down, I had to share.  This skirt can be dressed up or down and looks A LOT like a skirt from a high end designer.

I have worn this skirt with moto boots to ankle strap pumps.  It is more versatile than you would think.
