Accessories take any outfit from plain, to fabulous! For those of you working with a capsule wardrobe, accessories are your best friend – allowing you to change up your entire look – at anytime.
But, before I get rolling on todays post, I have a fun little thing to share. Little is actually an understatement – this was EPIC!
Have you ever thought about shopping your girlfriends closet? Thursday night, I co-hosted a clothing swap with two girlfriends; the motivational and inspiring Kanesha Baynard, from BoldLivingToday.com , along with our hostess with the mostess, our dear friend Michelle. Not any clothing swap ladies, this was a Sip and Swap, beyond my wildest expectations!
I’ll be sharing more on this fun event, photos and all very soon. Plus, Kanesha and I are already working on a “How to Guide”, if you are looking to try this out on your own. While planning this event, there wasn’t much info available, to help guide us through the process – so we’ll be making our own guide. I have to say, our event was a huge success, and I’ll be sharing more, in my next few posts, on Ask Suzanne Bell – stay tuned!
click HERE, to pop on over to Facebook,
and view this video of Kanesha and I, recorded 5 minutes prior to the start of this wild and crazy event!
I’ll leave you with Toni and Jennie,
Ask Suzanne Bell readers, and very happy swappers..so much more to come!
Next up, you all know I LOVE accessories. Accessories take any outfit from plain, to fabulous! For those of you working with a capsule wardrobe, accessories are your best friend – allowing you to change up your entire look – at anytime.
Lately, I’ve been wearing 4 key pieces.
Gorjana Pressed Taner Long Necklace, similar HERE or Small Bar Pendant HERE
Gorjana Lariat | similar HERE | HERE
You can see me wearing this exact lariat, dressed up, in the video from last night (above). I styled it up with a DVF wrap dress (from last nights swap). Another look, dressed down, below.
Gorjana Crescent Drop Earrings, on sale now at GILT, HERE ($19.00!)
Gorjana Cersi Cuff, similar HERE | HERE | all cuffs HERE
Alexis Bittar Liquid Gold Layered Ring, HERE (also available in rose gold, HERE)
Think of these 4 pieces as the starting point of your layered look.
The Gorjana lariat, is a newer addition, to my collection.
Here’s a few I’m loving right now, over at Nordstrom:
I’ll leave you with this fabulous piece, from Kendra Scott...yes, it’s on the wish list!
Have any of you hosted or attended a clothing swap?
Do you enjoying layering jewelry pieces, or do you gravitate towards one statement piece.
What are you all thinking of lariats, yes or no?
I love Gorjana, anyone else?

Finally, great accessories!
Have a wonderful weekend, suzanne!
Hi Andrea! Thanks for stopping by! Happy to hear you like the new look! I’m still doing some tweaking here and there, so if you see anything off, please let me know – I know you’ve been there 🙂
The sip and swap was such a great event, not only allowing ladies to shop other’s closets and refresh their wardrobes, it was really uplifting to see women supporting each other and encourage them to step out of their comfort zone. Of course, I was in styling heaven helping them with all their new looks! Stay tuned for more details on upcoming posts on Ask Suzanne Bell. I have so many photos, it was impossible to put together a post in 1 day that would do the event justice! Have a great weekend! XO
Wonderful accessories! and the event sounds like great fun. Thanks for linking, xo
Thank you Patti! Yes, the event was so fun. It was great seeing ladies shop others closets and leave so happy feeling refreshed and great about themselves! It did involve some work, but it was so worth it! Ill be sharing more in an upcoming post on the blog!
Icame across a few sites: the first one is good for any of your petite follOwers, extrapetite.com. Its similar to your site. Also, From this site there is a styling service called TrunkcluB.com. It sounds like you get set up with a stylist and they send you a trunk of clothes to try on. You only pay for what you KeeP. I have not tried this service, but thought you might be INTERESTED in it for your busy followers. HaVe a great weEk.
Hi Jan, I love http://www.extrapetite.com, she is darling and so spot on! I have had friends who have tried the Trunk – with great success. If you are busy and don’t have time to shop, I hear it is great. One of my girlfriends uses it for her husband and says it is fantastic as he hates to shop! Thank you for sharing, great tips!
Love your utility jacket and shoes!
Thank you Amy! I am so happy I stepped up and got these shoes, they are super fun and pretty comfortable as heels go!
