May Favorites | 10 Things To Love Right Now

I always forget what a wild ride the month of May really is. You’ve got the end of school year craziness colliding with mom scheduling / summer planning duty. It’s insane, and it sneaks up on me every year. But with the end in clear sight, and carefree summer days right around the corner – relief is coming friends. So pause for a moment and take a deep breath…I’ve got some fabulous picks to share today. From a beautifully styled, budget friendly summer collection from H&M to my favorites hats, swimwear, and shoes to love right now…welcome to May Favorites!

1. The New Conscious Collection from H&M

While visiting San Fransisco with my daughter last week, we found ourselves in the flagship H&M…WOW! We both flipped out over the latest collection which featured gorgeous shades of terra-cotta, navy, olive, black (of course) and yellow to shades of white and beautiful metallic accents. Vacation ready summer pieces at fabulous prices – we loved it all!

2. Enzo Angiolini Golda Sandal | HERE

Though I don’t personally own this Sandal, it was one of the most clicked on shoes from last weeks Nordstrom 1/2 Yearly Shoe round-up (HERE) so I wanted to pass the deets along! On sale in 4 colors, it is now 40% off. Regular $68.95, now $41.37 at Nordstrom (HERE). I do have a similar looking shoe in gold which I wore non-stop last summer. I love the pink and white color ways. also available in black and brown.

 

3. White Low Heeled Sandals

While looking for a low heeled white sandal to wear with dresses and pants, I came across the Teclado Slide Sandal from Jeffrey Campbell. With a walkable heel height, I’ve found I’ve been grabbing this sandal much more that I thought I would. I love the ostrich texture and the fact this shoe also is available in metallic silver and gold which can be a challenge to find when you need it. Also available in red and black croc, I think this shoe is a lot of style for the buck! You can browse it over at Nordies (HERE). For me, I found these to run true to size.

For those of your who may not like the toe ring part of the Teclado slide, THIS sandal by Marc Fisher is available in white along with 8 other colors and would work back with summer pants, dressed or skirts.

4. Yellow!

I’m OBSESSED with THIS yellow bow lace dress from Trina Turk. Sadly, at this time, I have nowhere to wear her. But in the event you do, I thought I’d share the details, along with a few other Trina Turk dresses in one of this seasons hottest colors….yellow!

Yes, they are pricey little numbers…but they are packable, classic and if you take care of them, they last for years. I’ve tried other hats, from J Crew to Target, and my Eric Javits hats outlast them all! I just picked up (THIS) hat  – not because my other 2 are worn out, but after 4 years, I figured it was time to mix things up a bit!

7. Robin Piccone Swimwear

With flattering silhouettes and styling, my go to for swimwear over the past few years has been Robin Piccone. Like many swimsuit brands, it is an investment. But I recently was browsing the Nordstrom Rack website in hopes of finding a swimsuit on sale and lo and behold there were some wonderful pieces including (THIS) flattering one-piece style that I picked up in olive green. 10. My Favorite Outfit

With a month of bi-polar weather, I pretty much lived in jeans and layers and really didn’t get many opportunities to break out my spring looks. That said, I did take a short trip to Las Vegas and loved this DVF snake print maxi so much, I actually wore it twice! I loved the fact that the length allowed me to wear flat sandals and the cut allowed for a real bra! Winner winner…here’s a look.
