In today’s Mid-Week Mishmash, I’ve got a list to get you in the mood for Autumn, a peek into my fall home, fashionable artwork and dolls to fall in love with, along with the best smelling candle and pumpkin cookies EVER – oh, and a look at what happens, when you let your shoes do the talking!
The month of October, has always slipped through the cracks for me. With my allergies in full swing, you will usually find me setting up a few pumpkins around the 25th of October, maybe some pumpkin bread in there if I’m lucky. I skim through this gorgeous month, a month of transition and change – a time to gather, between summer and winter. How sad is that? After recently being introduced to the world of Bullet Journaling, which is all about getting stuff done and more, I been having the best time with my family, executing our Autumn Bucket List.
Full disclosure, I did not create this list. Thanks to Pinterest, I downloaded this list from Melissa, a fabulously creative gal, over at the PolkaDotChair.com (download you own Autumn Bucket List HERE), then framed it, in an old frame.
Thank you Melissa!
A Peek into my Home
Jo-anns and Michaels are great resources, for inexpensive holiday decor.
In lieu of pounding nails into my door, I decided to hang this wreath on a table top hook. I found this wreath ($19.99!), along with my plaid ribbon, over at Joanns.
Going with a orange, black, vibrant green theme – I removed the summer decor from the house, did a little housekeeping of dusting, re-arranging a few things – and got to decorating.
Tj Maxx Homegoods and Tuesday Morning, are two great resources for seasonal decor, at really low prices.
These cute plates and bowls were $3.00 a piece, at Homegoods, a few years ago.
I love these napkin rings – perfect for this time of year!
Best Pumpkin Spice Cookies EVER!
These truly are the best melt-in-your-mouth cookies ever! Tip: double the frosting – you’ll thank me later!

Rosy Rings
Each fall, I replace my Botanical Rosy Ring Candle – keeping the house smelling like something yummy is in the oven 24/7.
Yes, they are pricey – but they last forever, and are gorgeous on the countertop.
Pumpkin Farmhouse | I also love Spicy Apple. Available at Cover Story Los Altos, or online (HERE)
A Little Fall Style, Sophie + Lili
I was lucky enough to meet Jennifer Vallez, designer/creator of Sophie and Lili about a year and a half ago at a mutual girlfriend’s 40th birthday. Since, I have been obsessed with her talent and art. Known for her beautiful signature collection of dolls for girls, I love following her latest brush art work over on Instagram.
Maybe it’s the olive green, or perhaps the animal print.
I think I need an olive green bomber jacket!
You can read more about Sopie + Lili, Jennifer Vallez, shop her online store and more over at SophieandLili.com (HERE)
My Style
They say the shoes make the outfit, and last Saturday I agreed.
A simple look; boyfriend jeans and graphic tee, layered with my Autumn Cashmere long knit vest (now a steal over at Nordstrom, 60% off HERE), turned into a statement look with leopard print pumps.
Simple to fab, with just a switch of the shoe!

My Bullet Journal Journey
At the end of September, I attended my first Bullet Journal workshop, provided by Kanesha Baynard of BoldLivingToday.com. A loyal follower of Franklin Covey, I’ve now resorted to spiral calendars and notebooks. Refusing to download all my thoughts, ideas and big plans into my iPhone, where I am afraid I will forget it all and be stored for eternity – none of it ever coming to fruition. Thank you to the creators of Bullet Journal, Bullet Journaling is an Analog system for the digital age. It can be your to-do list, sketchbook, notebook, and diary, but most likely, it will be all of the above. It will teach you to do more with less. Read more over at BulletJournal.com.
