10 blog favorites, jones road, 2024 Hello and welcome to ASB Favorite Finds, where I reflect on the past month and share what has been particularly noteworthy, from enlightening reads to standout beauty products and everything in between. For those of you who are following my weekly styling series, I’ll be back next Monday with an all-new episode and video featuring how I shopped my closet, planned outfits, and packed it all into my carry-on bag for a week-long trip to the fabulous city of New Orleans, Louisiana. If you missed any of last month’s style videos or outfit ideas, you can now find the What’s On My Rail series in one spot by PRESSING HERE. Here are a few things that caught my eye.
  1. Jones Road Beauty. Founded by makeup artist Bobbi Brown on the philosophy that the world doesn’t need more beauty products. It needs better beauty products (JonesRoad.com), I had the opportunity to pop into the 37 Greenwich Ave location while visiting NYC this past fall. I first discovered Bobbi Brown in the 1990s during my time at Nordstrom. It was then that I developed a fondness for her lipsticks, foundations, and iconic “Beach” scent, which remains my favorite fragrance. I purchased a few products to try, my must-haves being the Jones Road WTF foundation, Miracle Balm, and the Face Pencil. Press here to learn more, take the Quiz, and find your perfect match.
  2. Pharmacies, especially those in France and Italy are always on the top of my “must-visit list” when traveling in Europe. However, once home, I can rarely find the products again. A friend of mine recently tipped me off to CareBeauty.com, where you can find many of those favorite Overseas Beauty products, shipped right to your front door. bonus; free and fast delivery with a minimum spend.
  3. It’s no secret that I live in my Vuiori Joggers, they are soft and slightly elevated so I can wear them to work at home, walk the dog, and lounge around – I’ve even dressed them up with a blazer. A definite must-have in black heather, with the coordinating Halo Tank.
  4. SALE ALERT! My favorite jumpsuit has been updated and the “older version” – which I live in – has hit the markdown rack in 2 colors. With the same cut as the Performance Joggers, the Vuori Lux jumpsuit is my go-to for travel and anywhere in between, now $65.00. Pairs well with any sports bra, I like the look of the Yosemite bra.
  5. It may not feel like spring right now, but before we know it, warmer days will be upon us. JCrew has come out with some beautiful spring/summer pieces like the Como Woven Straw Tote | Open Weave Small Bag | Portofino Hand-Knotted Clutch (under $100) | a new wide-leg denim trouser that looks designer | last year’s popular Marlow Sandal is now available in black patent | this vest looks promising for under blazers or on its own this spring.
  6. Unique button cuffs (no more straining to roll up your sleeve) and a perfectly oversized fit are what make the Kayla Shirt from Citizens my favorite button-down. While boutique browsing this month I tried on a few new colors along with this perfect chambray option, which I was able to track down at REVOLVE.
  7. Vintage-inspired aviators that give off a Palm Beach 70’s designer vibe for under $20. I ordered 3 pairs off AMAZON to try on and kept this retro square pair in brown (available in 14 colorways).
  8. I thoroughly enjoyed reading every page of this month’s book club selection, The Bohemians, a dazzling novel of one of America’s most celebrated photographers, Dorothea Lange, exploring the wild years in San Francisco that awakened her career-defining grit, compassion, and daring (AMAZON)
  9. Have you watched one of Netflix’s latest, Griselda? Starring Sofia Vergara, the mini-series chronicles the real life of savvy and ambitious Colombian businesswoman, Griselda Blanco, who created one of the most profitable cartels in history. Sofia Vergara’s dramatic transformation for her part as Griselda, is alone worth a peek at the trailer!
  10. Sweet Potato Chili from Lexi’s Clean Kitchen is my favorite vegetarian- one-dish (instapot friendly!) comfort meal right now, here.
