Looking for a shoe that will work with just about everything this summer?
From short dresses to maxis, skirts to shorts, denim to jumpsuits – the wedge sandal is your answer! Not just any wedge, a neutral color that works with your skin tone. Sure, colors are fun, but if I were to prioritize I’d put my wedge options in this order:
nude color
metallic
black
a fun summer color
When looking for the perfect nude wedge I always pay close attention to color and heel height.
The color needs to work with your skin tone. For me, a cognac option is way more flattering over a light pinkish tan because the darker color blends in more with my skintone making my legs look longer (who doesn’t want that?)
Look for a pair that has comfortable heel to platform ratio. Countless beautiful looking wedges have made their way to a clearance rack because one simply cannot walk in them. If this is going to be your go-to it needs to be comfortable!
From cork and wood to espadrille wedges, let’s take a look at some fun options, at every price.

Look for less!
One of these pairs is $295.00 and the other $29.00
can you guess which is the steal and which is the deal?

Bottom right, via Old Navy HERE $29.00| available in black and tan. Tan is currently sold out online but may be available in stores. I was at the Hillsdale store yesterday and they had a few in the store. They were sold out in my size, but it was super easy to order via the kiosk in the store plus orders in-store ship for free – easy! The sales gal told me these are selling fast so if you are interested I’d get on it ASAP! Mine were on sale for $23.06!
My girlfriend Leah tipped me off on this next shoe, this past weekend.
I almost didn’t include them in the post as they are currently out of stock online. But, since she just picked hers up at Old Navy last week, they may be available in stores. The San Mateo store still had a few in stock and I was able to try them on while I was there.

Leah said she had ordered the Apt 9 Wedge from Kohls which was featured on AskSuzanneBell HERE . She liked it, but found it too wide for her narrow foot. She later spotted this number at Old Navy and loved it because she could adjust it to size. She and her friend each picked up a pair and tell me they are super comfortable!
For me, the ankle strap worked better, that said I have wider feet than my petite friend Leah. I found they run a bit on the big side. I wear an 8 1/2 and the 8 fit perfectly.
Here’s a few photos of how both shoes look on:
Here is how they look on Leah in black.
Thinking about picking up a pair of wedge sandals?
Pick the right one and it will go with just about everything!
As you can see there are a boatload of fabulous options AT EVERY PRICE out there to be had!
