Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites | Dressing Room Selfies, Top 10 Under $100

Shop for fall in the middle of summer? If you are like me, you’re still looking for that perfect sandal or sundress to wear to a patio party next weekend. That said, some of the best deals on basic items and fall pieces are only available during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – so what do you say we take a look at a few Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites?

What’s all the hype? Here’s the skinny. For 25 days, savvy shoppers have the ability to buy new items before the fall season begins – at limited time low prices. Nordstrom is the only retailer I am aware of, that has truly mastered this type of sale – and it’s pretty fabulous!

What I Shopped: Yesterday, I had an opportunity to pre-shop the sale in the Palo Alto store and I’m back to share a few selfies, what caught my eye, basics to stock up on, my top 10 under $100, and of course shoes. There is so much more product available online, so some of my picks I did not see in person. Stand-out trends for me were Animal Print, Snakeskin, cozy sweaters and jackets, camouflage prints, shades of green, pinks, purples, yellows and browns. My Two Cents: I’ll leave you with my words of wisdom. Don’t get sucked in by every blogger and Instapost telling you HAVE-TO- HAVE ‘THIS’ HOT ITEM. Active Wear | Zella

A household fave, Zella is our go-to when it comes to active wear. Y’all know I am a huge fan of the high-waist Zella legging; for working out or day-to-day wear. Currently, there are 3 options for the high waist legging on the Anniversary Sale  – you just have to decide which is right for you. Last year I purchased the ‘Sunray’ ankle legging, now $42.90 (HERE) along with the Live-In long Legging, now $38.90  (HERE). This year my daughter and I both stocked up on the new side pocket legging (move over Lulu) in black and in green (HERE). Cozy Knits

When it comes to casual dressing, it doesn’t get better than a cozy cardigan paired with my favorite jeans or leggings. There are many a cardigan on sale right now, but these are my personal favorites. (THIS) bold stripe cardigan by Madewell has pockets and can be worn now on chilly nights with denim, come fall she’d be so cute with a pair of tall boot or booties. I have a similar cardigan from last season and I get compliments on it all the time. If animal print is your thing, I love (THIS) cheap and cheerful statement piece from BP.  At $45.90, it’s a big bang for your fashion buck! Quality is OK, but hey, it’s not cashmere and it is under $50!

runs pretty TTS. I tried on a small and it fit fine. If I wanted to layer I would go up to a medium since it is juniors sizing.
