For today, I had planned to share Part 1, of the three part, AskSuzanneBell Closet Edit. But, in light of all this weekend’s great sale happenings, I’m holding off, so I can bring you some of my favorite sale picks.
So, grab a cup of coffee, snuggle into the couch, and let’s get started!
Note: Links below are provided for your convenience. All opinions and picks, featured on AskSuzanneBell, are solely my own. No commission is made, nor are any retailers paying me for my picks, at any time. These are items I just happen to love, and in turn, share with all of you!
The Nordstrom Winter Clearance Sale began today, with loads of fresh new markdowns! I always check out the selection in shoes and denim first, as these are items I choose to invest more shopping dollars in – what a bonus, when I can pick these up on sale!
#1 Favorite Shoe Pick
You’ll thank me later for this one!
I discovered this shoe last summer, after seeing worn over and over again on Instagram, on a favorite blogger of mine. She wore this shoe, with everything from jumpsuits and dresses, to skirts and denim. I think the taupe is a great neutral – one we will be seeing more of for SS16. It is unusual to find a good blue color, to work with denim and white, so I added it as well.
I actually purchased this shoe, took it home, and tried it out around the house, last August. Since it was late in the summer, I ended up returning it, as I was not sure how much I would wear it, come fall. Before returning it, I shot a photo of it on.
I regretted returning it, so when I saw it pop up on the sale rack today – I grabbed a pair in the taupe color. When I went to pick mine up in the store today, my salesperson told me he had already sold 4 in taupe – in the past 2 hours!
Have you seen the new Nordstrom Spring Catalog?
I’m loving this bag from Vince Camuto – especially with my new shoes!
Lace up sandals are huge for SS16. Perfect for a night out, I think these are fabulous, and I’m loving the metallic color for spring!
Via Spiga ‘Lessa’, was $195.00, now $117.00, in 3 colors plus black and white (separate link for print) More colors available, not on sale. I love a heel under 3″, and this one fits the bill!
A great peep toe bootie/sandal, if you have been looking for something like this. Love the sling back (less like a bootie). Available in 5 suede colors, in limited sizes. I love the tan suede (sold out online). The taupe color is pretty too, now $117.00.
Seems like every vendor has a version of this Valentino pump. I like the gunmetal studs on black, for something different. Available in nude, at regular price.
What can I say? I love this shoe! Mule, fun colors – is it practical? Absolutely not, but it is pretty fabulous, so I had to share!
and ‘Classic Crochet’, in black and white
My daughter has gone through a few pairs of these.
I own the navy from a few seasons back, love ’em!
Like the Joie, but not the price?
You’ve all seen how much I wear my Coach Wedges, from last Spring.
Callisto, has come up with a knock off, and it’s now on sale!
Callisto ‘Rennee’ platform wedge, was $75.00, now $45.00, in sliver and black | also available in Leopard.
There are so many shoes on sale right now and the good ones go fast! Lot’s of flats, sneakers, slip on sneakers, bootie and boots, are super well priced now. You’ll just have to pop over and take a look!
Lot’s of denim on sale, here’s a few that caught my eye:
Did you know KUT has branched out?
I thought these 2 LBD’s from KUT, were fun and priced great!

This Free People vegan moto jacket,
reminds me a bit of the YSL moto jacket, which retails for a mere $5750.00, at Barneys:
The Free People jacket is vegan, and sure, it’s not the same – but the styling is similar, and its under $70.00! Free People vegan moto jacket, was $125.00, now $89.95, plus and extra 25% off.
My mom and I both tried this jacket on last week, in the store. The price in the store was $69.95, go figure? Anyway, I sized up to a medium, for more room in the shoulders. My plan is to remove the belt, it’s kinda annoying. The sales gal said she had done the same. If you like a clean look, this may not be for you. I liked the length, and plan to wear it with spring and summer dresses, for a boho look. It is not shinny, like the stock photo above – in real life. Here’s a look at Mom, trying it on in the store.
Lot’s more sale to be had out there, as retailers get ready for spring! I try not to get to tempted, by the super cheap deals, on winter items, as I know for us here, spring is coming soon. I look for deals on denim, transitional shoes, accessories, and basics like tees, tanks and tops.
Anyone hit the Nordstrom Sale today?
Nordstrom Rack or Anthropologie?
If you’ve found some great finds, do share, I know we’d all love to hear!
Enjoy the long weekend, and I’ll see you back here Wednesday, with Part 1 of 3, of the AskSuzanneBell Closet Edit!
