As we head into Week 6 of the Shelter-In-Place mandate, things are starting to unravel a bit. Schedules are getting looser, the same exercise routine has become a bit of a bore, grey hairs are popping out, DIY beauty maintenance is becoming a challenge…anyone had a melt-down or two? To avoid going totally stir crazy, I try to learn something new each day. Whether it be a new way to cook a chicken breast, or reaching out to my favorite esthetician for tips on how to safely remove unwanted facial hair, I’ve rediscovered the joy in learning new things. And where do I go for inspiration? Along my blogging journey I’ve had the joy of meeting women from around the world who inspire me each day. Here’s a list of this week’s favorite posts from the Blogosphere , heck, maybe you’ll learn a thing or two…enjoy!

I met Pam (the Beauty Conservator) virtually, then later in person, at an event at Bliss Beauty this past year. Gorgeous inside and out, knowledgable and so helpful – I knew who to reach out to for advice on how to remove facial hair at home. I know many of you are facing the same dilemma so I wanted to share what Pam had to say on the topic of DIY Hair Removal.
“Facial hair removal is an important subject since women of all ages can struggle with unwanted hair growth. As we near midlife facial hair becomes serious business! If you’re like me, your skin is maturing and too fragile for waxing, you need to be resourceful in keeping peach fuzz at bay. I hope you’ll bypass all the DIY hair removal tips floating around the internet, especially any that involve putting lemon juice on your skin! You can still do it yourself but skip playing mixologist in your kitchen and use a tool please”…Read more (HERE).
2. How to Love Our Bodies in Swimsuit Season | Jodies’ Touch of Style | To Read More (CLICK HERE)
I have followed Jodie, her mom, Charlotte, and good friend, Lesley for years. Down to earth and straight forward, I love how her blog showcases 3 different decades of women with unique body shapes and style.
If you are one of the unique women over the age of 30 that gets excited about shopping for swimsuits, I am insanely jealous! For the rest of us, Jodie offers some real-life advice on how to move forward and enjoy the summer – be it in our backyards, or hopefully a pool or beach somewhere in the sun…
“Swimsuit season can be the best of times and the worst of times depending on your perspective. Loving our body seems to be one of the hardest things to do at times. We stress over the changes and what we think it should look like as opposed to remembering how blessed we are” … Read more (HERE).

One of the most down to earth gals you will ever meet, Kim is my friend in real life as well as someone I follow virtually. The creative mind behind her beautiful blog, Northern California Style, I always find some type of style inspiration- be it for the home or my own personal style, within Kim’s posts.
“Though we may be sheltering at home, people will still be having Easter, Passover, birthdays and anniversaries while inside. Why not try and make the time we have at meals with each other a little bit special? I have been adding a few votives each night to the dinner table since we all are together once again and cooking. A candle or two and even a little flower in a small cup can elevate the mood. A pretty table is always cheering and who couldn’t use a little uplifting about now?” … Read more (HERE)

Hi Shelbee! Thank you for stopping by. So I bought the tool called “finishing Touch Flawless Painless Hair Remover” (link , https://shopstyle.it/l/bf7Mb ) based on Pam’s recommendation along with a magnifying mirror. I tell you, it’s the best $20 I ever invested. It removed my lip and chin hair quickly and left no redness afterward. My daughter who is 16 used it as well with great success! We were both thrilled. I’ll probably never wax again. I look forward to reading your review. Have a fabulous weekend! xx Suzanne
