A dress with jeans? Oh why not!
Speaking of jeans, whatcha think of this pair? When shopping for a pair of jeans these days, I look for newness in hem detail. The front slits on this pair from Frame Denim are fun and super flattering on the leg! And guess what? They are now on sale at Nordstrom… whohoo! I also love the pair with feathers on the hem (linked below). These jeans hit me mid-waist, covering up the muffin perfectly! The Le Nouveau Straight Split Hem Skinny in Woodland, is now being pricematched at 40% off for $149.00 (HERE). For refrence, I always size down one size in Frame denim. My tunic is actually a dress by Roberta Roller Rabbit that I found second hand over at ThredUP. There are loads of great spring dresses right now at ThredUP, many new or like new so take a look if you are in the market for something fresh. These mules are a favorite right now, the simple block heel dresses them up a notch, yet they are still comfortable to wear all day long. I love my nylon Longchamp bag when I don’t want to lug around a heavy handbag. It’s light weight, holds everything I need, and is perfect for running errands as it doesn’t weigh me down.
When experimenting with wearing a dress over jeans, consider a more fitted jean, at ankle or cropped length allowing some leg and skin to show. For the dress, I like a shirt dress, better yet, one with a belt so you don’t lose your waistline within the look. Keep accessories simple, there is already alot going on with this look, you don’t want to overwhelm. You could also try a flare jean, but then I would go sleeveless on top. I feel like you have to show some skin somewhere – with this look it is easy to get burried in fabric.
Would you wear a dress with jeans? Do you have any tips for pulling off this spring trend? Drop a comment down below, I’d love to hear your thoughts! I’ll be sharing more dress over denim looks as I style them up over on Instagram, so if you are not already, give me a follow and see what’s next!
