One-and-done, the jumpsuit can take you from the office to weekend in style and comfort. Like your favorite summer dress, pop one on – there’s no additional outfitting required. Be it a wide-leg, crop, halter top, apron, open-shoulder, strapless, denim or ruffled – there’s a style for every gal; at any age, size and budget, looking to jump on board the one-piece wonder train.
You could not turn a corner in NYC this summer, without spotting a chic woman wearing a jumpsuit paired with slide sandals or sneakers. Inspired by the NYC Street Style scene, I rounded up a few of my fellow jumpsuit obsessed friends to help show just how easy and versatile this summer favorite is to style. Are you on board? Drop us a line in the comments down below. I’m still looking to add a piece or two to my own wardrobe, I’d love to hear if you’ve found your match, and how you wear yours!
Meet my stylish friends…Bella, Heidi, Jacqui, Hilda and Cheryl. I follow all 5 of these ladies and you should too! You’ll find links to their websites and/or social media handles below each of their names below. What do you say we take a look?

I think everyone should and can have at least one jumpsuit they love. They’re super versatile (to be dressed up or down) and come in so many different styles. Plus, it’s a full outfit which makes it super easy to put on and go.
Heidi
I love jumpsuits because they are a one and done way to dress! If it’s a basic one it can be styled many ways too. They are best for travel though! I love to pack just jumpsuits, dresses and rompers! Makes it so easy!!

I really enjoy wearing jumpsuits, they have the style and elegance of a dress, but have the comfort & relaxed feel of trousers. There’s no worrying about matching and mixing separates for an easier way of dressing. I always like to dress mine up with heels, a bold necklace and cute clutch bag.

I have always loved jumpsuits, but not the problem that many have with going to the bathroom. I had one fab black and white one which required my hubby to stand outside the loo to unzip and rezip. This piece can be opened by me, as the back is not too high. I love the overlay and the wide legs. It is so comfortable and I feel glamorous. Very few accessories needed just some fab earrings. Today’s jumpsuit is from Coast.

When I saw this jumpsuit I thought it was different and fun in so many ways. I’ve never had a jumpsuit and have been wanting one for a few years so this was going to fill the bill. I have to say the comfort level was 100%! It was just like having PJs on. Also, I liked that it was a new form of denim for me. I was certainly stepping out of my comfort zone with this look and I’m happy I did.

Now, finding a jumpsuit that’s fits is the real the challenge. My two cents; as with a dress, the top portion must flatter your figure, the bottom half can usually be altered. I look for styles and silhouettes that work for me in a dress, i.e.: wrap style, halter, short sleeve, sleeveless, mock neck etc. I currently own many jumpsuits; this denim piece from 7 for All Mankind being one of my favorites. I can wear it as I did below with a bralette, or layer a tee under it for more coverage. Crop styles are my favorite at the moment.

I think it’s difficult to find a jumpsuit that is long enough in the torso! That’s awlays my challenge! Everyone looks amazing in their jumpsuits!
I hear that often, that the torso is too short. My one suggestion is look to your favorite dress maker – do they make a jumpsuit in a silhouette that you love in a dress? FOr example, my favorite dress is a wrap dress and those are my favorites in jumpsuits as well. Hope you find one you love, you look amazing in Rompers – that may be your perfect match! 🙂

Hi Heidi! thank you for being a part of this fun collaboration! I adore your style and was thrilled to be able to feature your jumpsuit look here. I agree, the jumpsuit has been one of those slow to warm up to styles (though I have always been a fan) and now it is so mainstream, the options are endless! Have a wonderful weekend! xx

Hi Jess!
Thanks for stopping by! And yes, don’t all these ladies look just fab! So much inspiration! I have always adored the jumpsuit, but as you mentioned, the trick is finding your perfect mate! Lucky for you being tall, the cropped jumpsuit is so on trend right now. in fact I recently took one of my.long wide leg styles to the tailor and had it cropped! 🙂
