Each week, Style Me Monday, will feature one item from my closet – styled 5 ways – to get your style wheels turning for the week ahead, and today we are talking knit vests and the Rule of Three.
Looking to take your outfit from OK to pulled together? Follow the Rule of Three.
Rule of Three
Every outfit, be it dressy or casual, consists of a top + a bottom. And when you add a third piece on the top half of your body, you will see that your outfit will instantly look more pulled together. As you get dressed today, give the rule of 3 a try, I’m certain each of you own multiple versions of this magical piece in your wardrobe.
Examples of a Third Piece
- Vest
- Cardigan
- Blazer
- Leather Jacket
- Faux Fur Vest
- Wrap or Poncho
- Scarf
- Necklace
- Hat
Living in a year-round mild climate, I own multiple vests. From puffers to long bohemian sweater knits, the vest is my magical layering piece, what’s yours?
