FACT 1: You do NOT need to own a ton of clothing to have a fabulous wardrobe.
FACT 2: You DO need to own pieces you absolutely love to achieve a fabulous wardrobe.
FACT 3: Most of us have too much in our closets, which in turn makes getting dressed a frustrating ordeal. And as we head out the door in yoga pants; we’re perplexed why we have nothing to wear.
Quality Over Quantity.
Think of your favorite piece. Why do you love it? Is it the fit? The color? Do you get compliments everytime you wear it? Maybe it’s soft? Easy to care for? Take note, the reasons you love your favorites should be your guide for allowing new items to enter, as well exit your closet. We all make shopping mistakes, god knows I’ve made many. Understanding what clothing makes you feel your best is the key to achieving fabulous personal style – everyday.
Today’s Look
Today’s look began with one of my favorite pieces to wear, crazy pants. Well, I call them crazy pants. As I look back over the past 4 years, documenting my style here on AskSuzanneBell.com, come spring/summertime you’ll find countless posts of me wearing wild print pants. When I’m shopping with friends and we come across a pair of fun wide leg pants, someone will always say “those are so you”. I guess you could say an outfit styled around a pair of wide leg printed pants is one of my signature looks. How fun is that? I kinda like having a signature look! This particular pair today was a thrift find from Clover Canyon, a company known for their wildly fun prints. Made of silk and lined, they sit perfectly on my hip, like they were custom made for me. When I load up with a printed bottom, I most always opt for a solid piece on top. I keep my shoes and accessories simple (gold hoops and bangles), and let the pants do the talking.

And one of the many way’s I’ve remixed these pants as the weather heats up….

You look amazing in “crazy” pants!! I agree with your wardrobe advice … so many of us have too much and don’t really think about what we buy. My favorite pieces are comfortable, flattering, and easy to care for!

Hi Dawn! I couldn’t agree more…I too fall victim to purchasing things I don’t need creating ‘closet Clutter’, oh why do we continue the cycle? I do think i shop smarter with each season that passes…I am with you on comfort and flattering – that is a must. And you do it so well! Thanks for stopping by! xx
Suzanne such a cute post. Love this on you. You look great in these pants and I wish I was a little taller so I could wear them too.. I so agree about having too much and letting your closet get full of things that just aren’t right! We need to buy less and buy what we love. Those things that we put on and then take off, but cannot part with for some reason?? Those have to go. Yes those with less always dress better! I am WORKING on this myself. xo
