Lately, I’ve been a bit obsessed with plaid – which is strange, as plaid is not normally something I am drawn to. That said, finding the right plaid shirt, has not been an easy task. I have bought and returned many, on the hunt for the exact fit/pattern and look I was after. After much searching, I am loving my Rails plaid shirt.
This shirt is so soft, I could sleep in it – but honestly, it had me at contrasting plaid cuffs!
As you can see, the shape is a bit more fitted – which I like.
You know something is a winner, when you reach for it multiple times, in one week.
On this particular day, I styled up my plaid shirt with a Free People long denim maxi skirt (for reviews on my skirt, click into this ASB post HERE), cognac boots,
and this fun fringe bag:
outfit details: Rails ‘Kendra’ plaid shirt, similar HERE, new plaid, HERE, for all Rails shirts HERE| Free People denim maxi skirt HERE | Alberto Fermini boots (older style) similar HERE | Gorjana pendant, similar HERE | H & M fringe bag, similar HERE, HERE, HERE
Yes, you read correctly, the bag is H & M. And it’s $29.95!
This exact style is currently not online, but I have seen it available in stores.
For all H &M fringe bags, currently available online, click HERE.
So, I have hesitated to write a review on this bag, as my girlfriend bought it as well, and her zipper keeps separating – hmm.
Mine has been OK so far. If you are looking to try out fringe, and don’t want to pay $458.00+ for this Frye bag, it’s a good low-cost option, to try a trend.
If you want to swoon a bit, over the Frye ‘Heidi’ bag, click HERE.
Of the fringe bags out there under $50.00, I think the H & M bag, looks pretty darn good.
Here’s a look at the H&M bag on my girlfriend Amy – before her zipper broke.
She was able to put the zipper back together, and is still toting her bag around town.
Thank you Amy, for letting me share your cute look! xx
One more look, at how I wore my bag,
As you can see, we’re having some fun together!
Before I go, I have one more plaid shirt discovery to share.
Sanctuary Boyfriend Shirt | reg $79.00 | available on sale now at Macy’s for 20% off $64.99 HERE, also at Nordstrom and Bloomingdales (check for promo pricing). Available in buffalo plaids as well HERE (not on sale)
I love the fit – true to size – a more relaxed fit than my Rails shirt above.
I’ll be styling this one up for you soon, so stay tuned!
Anyone else having a moment with plaid?
Do share any fab finds, I know we’d love to hear – saves us all time with returns!

Hi Suzanne,
We are very excited here in Sydney with our first H & M store opening this weekend! I can’t wait to see what they have in store.
Kind regards
Helen
Hi Helen! I am so excited for you! H and M is the best for on-trend pieces, at fab prices! Have fun at the opening! xx
I really like your Rails plaid shirt. I haven’t added any plaid to my wardrobe yet but may have to soon! 🙂
The H & M bag is a great find to add a trendy item!
