It would seem that with every fall season Target surprises us with something new. From the epic Missoni launch and Who What Wear to this years launch of A New Day, September is my favorite time to shop Target Style. The re-birth of great style always occurs during the first 2 weeks of September. I know this to be fact because I spent the early hours of my Birthday in line with my girlfriend at our local Target years ago, while the Target site crashed due to the unexpected popularity of Missoni for Target launch. Anyone still own a Missoni for Target piece in their closet?
Target held up to my expectations when I paid my local store a visit to check out the latest launch of A New Day this week. A cross between the old J Crew style with a bit of Anthropologie twist, I found the fit to be good and the quality a step above Merona or Mossimo – yet the pricing comparable. Overall a good value for the buck and sized TTS. My favorite pieces were the large selection of anoraks, jackets, and coats along with the tees and tanks. The basic tank reminds me of the Perfect Tank from J Crew – with wider, better straps (HERE), perfect for layering.
As far as Who What Wear, this is trend at a fantastic price. Will these pieces last till next fall? Maybe not, but it’s trend so why worry. There’s a good chance you won’t want them next fall anyway. My favorite piece was the kick crop faux leather pant (I bought the 4 which is my regular size. In the photos below I am wearing a 6 and its too loose). A trend piece that will go with so much this season, it’s not “plasticy” like some brand are. They had a nice stretch, similar to my Lysee faux leather leggings that run over $100 a pair. I thought the shirtings and knits looked great and I felt the fit on the dresses to be better than in the past.
Note: all of the pieces I tried on here are linked in a Polyvore set below for easy shopping. I added a few extra pieces that I liked, but were missing at my Target Store. You can also view my Live From My Closet Live Video Clip on My Facebook Page (HERE).
That’s 36 great look for less pieces to shop!

Wow the tweed jacket / blazer is cute or dressy. Great choices for us to look for.
I love this jacket! I am sharing how I styled it entirely different – for work/everyday, tomorrow here on the blog! xx
