My favorite time of year to shop for shoes has to be spring. So much newness, come spring I am ready to shed my boots, get a pretty pedicure and show off my kicks! With the crop pant/jean trend going stronger than ever, shoes take center stage! With options ranging from lilac and sparkle to mules and gorgeous suedes, I’ve scoured my favorite shoe sites and rounded up a few of my favorite, wearable trends. I’ve got options from our favorite designers along with picks from Who What Wear at Target, to get your stepping into spring 2018 in style!

The Suede Sandal

No longer for cold winter months, look for suede in heels, sandals and mules. Beyond black and nude colors, this trend is so strong it’s available in brights, nudes and pastels! I LOVE the Schutz Victoria embellished mule at Nordstrom, I think it would work with so many looks for spring and summer. Normally I am not a fan of white shoes, but I’m finding myself drawn to white and off white mules right now. Whatcha think?

Mules

After a rough run with poorly fitting mules this past year, I think designers have finally realized this versatile shoe is here to stay; and have added styles that not only stay on, but are comfortable and flattering as well. I find a mule with a “v” shape in the front is more flattering on the leg than a band straight across – especially with skirts or dresses. The Miriam from A New Day is available in orange and black for $32.99.  Um, it kinda looks like a pair I tried on from a much more expensive designer last spring! OR opt for a nude color that is close to your skin tone. Your legs appear long for days, but boy are the colors and ginghams fun with your crop jeans for spring! In my opinion, if you love crop pants and jeans, you can’t have enough mules this season.

Pointy Toe Mules

I purchased a pair of pointy toe mules last fall and I tell you they were a wardrobe workhorse. I have one pair that is flat and a second with a kitten heel. Like with flip flops, I pair the flat version with denim, midi skirts or midi dresses, wide leg pants, skinny jeans. Elevate your casual look with a pair of this easy to wear style.
