I love scarves not just for the fact that I am always FREEZING but for their ability to change the look of any outfit. French women are known for being masters when it comes to styling their scarves and wraps. Perhaps this is why they always look so fabulous?
I am a sucker for a beautiful scarf and there is always one on my wish list. Anthropologie, Neiman Marcus, J Crew, Nordstrom, local boutiques, Ebay and consignment stores are just a few of the places I look to find unique pieces to add to my collection!
If you have been on Pinterest lately, you may have noticed that every other blogger is wearing version of THIS plaid scarf:

I believe the original plaid blanket scarf was from Zara which sold out and has been knocked off by everyone out there. You can get the original Zara scarf on ebay for a premium if interested. Zara now has an similar version now available on their website in slightly different colors.
Look familiar?

There are countless versions of the “blogger blanket scarf” available on ebay. Mine has not arrived from ebay yet so I can’t speak to the quality but if you are interested, I’ve got the link for you HERE. I will be sure to share on mine when it arrives!
If you like the look of an oversized scarf but are interested in something a bit different, here are a few other options I found:

Blanket scarves are fun because of the versatility they offer. I am super excited over the ASB scarf tutorial I am working on but until then, here are a few styling ideas:
- Wrapped shawl style
- Belted
- Triangle in front with ends wrapped around the neck and back to the front. You can then tie the ends or leave them hanging.
- Folded horizontally and wrapped around the neck
- Tied in back and worn as an infinity scarf
- Fold on the bias and simply throw it around your neck allowing the tails to hang
If you love yourself some plaid, but don’t want to mess with tying a scarf – I love these wraps.

Hey there Margie! Be sure to let me know which one you get. I just got a noticed that mine already shipped via ebay. I’ll be sure to share how it looks when it arrives! Thanks for stopping by!
How’s the quality of the eBay scarf? About to order two of them (one for me and the other as a gift). But would like to hear about the quality before I do.
Thanks!
Hi Brandi! I have not received mine in the mail yet. It shipped right away and the seller does have lots of good feedback. I hope to have it in a week or so and will be sure to update you all when it arrives! Happy New Year! Suzanne
Checking in again to see if u got the scarf and like the quality of it?
Haven’t ordered yet…
Thanks!
Hi Brandi! I did get my scarf in the mail and I am really happy with it for the price. It is the perfect size to fold in a triangle, wrap around the neck and either tie in front or leave hanging as in the photos. It has texture, more like a thin blanket and is soft. not itchy. It is not a cashmere look without texture if that makes sense. I showed it to two of my friends today and they both like it. I think for under $15.00 it is great. I showed it to the personal shopper at Anthropologie today and she loved it. I hope that helps. I plan to put a few photos of it up on the blog next week. My girlfriend bought the target version which does not have the blanket texture. The one thing to note is that the one from Target is not square so you can’t really wear it like all the bloggers are showing it worn. That said she still loves it and has been wearing it looped and wrapped like a regular scarf. Let me know if you have any other questions! Suzanne
Brandi, this is item number directly from the seller I bought from #301323839233. Just type this number into the search area on ebay and the scarf will come up.
If you zoom in on the photo you can see the texture that I am referring to. Suzanne
Great! Thank you for the feedback! Purchasing them tomorrow! Would love to see pics of you wearing yours!
Glad to help Brandi! I am working on a scarf post that will hopefully be up and ready sometime next week so stay tuned so I will be sure to share! Have a great weekend!
