I love scarves not just for the fact that I am always FREEZING but for their ability to change the look of any outfit. French women are known for being masters when it comes to styling their scarves and wraps. Perhaps this is why they always look so fabulous?
I am a sucker for a beautiful scarf and there is always one on my wish list. Anthropologie, Neiman Marcus, J Crew, Nordstrom, local boutiques, Ebay and consignment stores are just a few of the places I look to find unique pieces to add to my collection!
If you have been on Pinterest lately, you may have noticed that every other blogger is wearing version of THIS plaid scarf:
I believe the original plaid blanket scarf was from Zara which sold out and has been knocked off by everyone out there. You can get the original Zara scarf on ebay for a premium if interested. Zara now has an similar version now available on their website in slightly different colors.
Via AE Outfitters from Aerie available in 6 colors. $29.95 | buy one get one 1/2 off promo HERE
Via Accessory Concierge in 6 colors. $30.00 HERE

There are countless versions of the “blogger blanket scarf” available on ebay. Mine has not arrived from ebay yet so I can’t speak to the quality but if you are interested, I’ve got the link for you HERE. I will be sure to share on mine when it arrives!
If you like the look of an oversized scarf but are interested in something a bit different, here are a few other options I found:
Eileen Fischer ombre Plaid scarf was $128.00 now $63.65| via Neiman Marcus HERE ( I own this scarf and love it!)
Burberry check merino wool scarf in 3 color ways $325.00 | via Nordstrom HERE
‘Heritage Plaid’ cashmere & silk scarf $98.00 |via Nordstrom HERE
Tasseled Tartan Scarf $88.00 | via Anthropologie HERE
Parma Plaid Scarf available in 2 color ways $78.00| via Anthropologie HERE
Blanket scarves are fun because of the versatility they offer. I am super excited over the ASB scarf tutorial I am working on but until then, here are a few styling ideas:
- Wrapped shawl style
- Triangle in front with ends wrapped around the neck and back to the front. You can then tie the ends or leave them hanging.
- Folded horizontally and wrapped around the neck
- Tied in back and worn as an infinity scarf
- Fold on the bias and simply throw it around your neck allowing the tails to hang
If you love yourself some plaid, but don’t want to mess with tying a scarf – I love these wraps.
