Overnight, the weather here shifted from Indian Summer to Winter, prompting me to quickly switch out my closet, bring out the sweaters, boots, and leggings. A winter wardrobe workhorse, (THESE) Ponte leggings from Lysse, with built-in tummy panel, are worth every penny and continue to be a favorite of mine. I’ve had this same pair for 4 years and they still are dark black (I wash mine in cold, no dryer) without any pills or sagging. When I want an alternative to black leggings, I reach for my (THIS) denim pair. And if you are looking for a little sass for daytime or date night, I think Lysse’s faux leather leggings are the best (PRESS HERE). If you loved Big Little Lies, HBO’s The Undoing from creator David E. Kelley and Susanne Bier is one not to miss! Starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant, this new psychological thriller focuses on a successful therapist, Grace Fraser (Kidman), along with her husband, Jonathan (Grant), and their young son (Noah Jupe), who attends an elite private school in New York City. A chasm opens in her seemingly perfect life: a violent death, a missing spouse, and, in the place of a man Grace thought she knew, only a chain of terrible revelations. Currently Obsessed
Aside from being just a little obsessed with every outfit and coat wore by Nicole Kidman in The Undoing – yes, I may have been googling “Grace Fraser Green Coat” post-episode 2, I’ve been obsessed with lug sole boots and wedge mules. I think either style pair perfectly back to casual or dressy joggers, jeans, skirts, dresses, and crop pant styles. After reading a review of the book, How Not to Wear Black, by Kim at Northern California Style, I immediately ordered a copy – if not for anything, the title intrigued me. Less about how not to wear black, this book is a wonderful guide on closet editing, living with less, and how TO wear black – not in the Fashion Buyer 90’s Street Style (my clothing buyer friends know what I’m referring to here), but how to reimagine black (and navy, brown and grey) as staples in your wardrobe – and how to maximize the pieces you love in your closet.
