With my iPhone being held hostage by the geniuses over at the Apple Store, I had three hours to kill at the fabulously fun Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto.
Starving, I grabbed a counter spot at the tremendously popular, True Food Kitchen.
Sans my phone, I opted to read up on the latest face highlighting techniques being offered up over at Sephora.
Did you know you can get a complementary mini makeover right now?
Or for fun, download the “how-to” highlight App!

Content and happy, after my meal of Ancient Grains with Tofu and a Matcha Horchata drink, I headed over to the mega Anthropologie & Co. across the way.
Upon entering the store, I was immediately hit by everything that is fabulous for spring! Denim skirts, frayed denim everywhere, stripes, beautiful florals, cold shoulders, off the shoulder tops, peasant blouses, spring sweaters, embroidery, appliqué details, fringe, fabulous shoes (mules!), bags and accessories – all in new fresh new colors!
Normally this is where I would grab a pile of goodies, and start taking photos to share here on AskSuzanneBell.com. Alas, no phone. That said, a little issue like being without my Iphone camera, wasn’t going to prevent me from sharing some of the great transitional spring pieces I discovered over in the sale closet, as well as a few new items that caught my eye for spring. My apologies for not adding links to all these items for you. I figured you’d rather have more selection then links – only so much time in a crazy day! I made sure to include the description of each item though, so you can search it up on the Anthropologie site.
Let’s take a look!
FRESH CUTS – SALE PICKS!
When shopping sale this time of year, I look for pieces that I can wear now – and later. Both of these next two sweaters would be great now with denim – later with white denim, printed skirts or over spring/summer dresses. I usually stay clear of stripes, but I was drawn to the flattering fit of this sweaters waistband (can be worn high or low on hip), dolman sleeve and wide neckline. I did size down to an XS, as I found it to be a bit generous.
I love the color combo of this next sweater. The fit did not work with my short-waist, but if it works for you it’s a fun true Anthro piece.
A denim jacket is a must-have for any gal’s closet. I like the short length of this piece from Pilcro.
Try a kimono instead of a knit cardigan – a great topper for spring and summer!
NEW FOR SPRING PICKS
I’ll admit at first blush, I thought this sweater was a cowl scarf. Drawn to the color, I found myself back for a second look. The yellow screams spring to me, I just had to have it. As I was checking out, the gal next to me was buying the same sweater. It’s on promo in the store right now for $78.00.
These were on display in red at the store – so fun, plus a great price!

Does anything here grab your eye?
I love the crop sweaters for layering in springtime over dresses or with skirts and denim. I personally am loving denim skirts right now and it looks like this may be my season – I think they are a prefect compliment to mules. Of course I love all the cold shoulder tops – a great option for those of us who want to bare their shoulder, but have the top stay in place.
Have you been over to Anthropologie lately?
How do you think their first roll out of Spring looks?
Thank you for stopping by my little space on the web and have a fabulous week!
XOXO
