Wardrobe Essentials With Built-In Shapewear? Yes Please!

Comfortable, slimming, smoothing…what’s not to love? Great textures and colors? Even better! While helping me decide between a grey or camel cashmere cardigan at the Cashmere Sale in Burlingame, Susan noticed I was wearing a pair of denim leggings. Have you heard of Ruby Ribbon?

Ruby Ribbon is known for their leggings. Today I’ve styled up the Suedette leggings and the new Ottoman leggings. So soft and comfortable, these leggings have a 5″ tummy panel which keeps them up, and smooths out the tummy area. Fabulous! I prefer to keep my crotch and butt covered while wearing leggings and that is where the Lace Extender comes into play. Since receiving this piece, I grab it everytime I’m wearing leggings – it’s the perfect butt cover. I chose the Bell Sleeve Wrap Top to layer over the Lace Extender and under the Lux Shawl/Wrap for one of today’s looks. I have found that all of today’s pieces can be mixed and matched over and over again – in fact the Lux Shawl can be worn 4 ways, the Wide Stretch Belt, two. Excited about the options for the shawl ( I call it a wrap), I created a video to show you how I wear and tie it down below!

On Sizing:

Today’s featured pieces ran true to size for me, with the exception of the Lace Extender which I sized down from my regular size small to an XS. The Bell Sleeve Wrap Top ran a bit small, so I did size up to a medium. 

How I Wore It:

Since receiving my Ruby Ribbon leggings, it’s all I want to wear! Not only chic, they are so comfortable. I’ve paired them with tall boots and booties – dressed them up and down and all around town. Below are two looks that began with the Suedette legging and the Ponte Ottoman legging as my base. In both photos I am wearing the Lace Extender – I love not having to worry about my crotch area showing!
