3. 1. STATE Crepe Blazer
Initially slated to feature the Veronica Beard velvet ‘Gaya’ jacket, I’m now giving this spot up to the 1. State Crepe blazer, after trying the ‘Gaya’ blazer on in person. Unfortunately, the quality and fit was just not what I’ve come to expect and love from Veronica Beard. That said, the 1. STATE blazer, first featured 2 weeks ago, in (THIS) blog post, has been a hot blog item. Luckily, I was able to try this blazer on, while returning the ‘Gaya’ blazer.
A fitted, one button crepe blazer with shirting stripe lining, grossgrain ribbon collar and pocket flaps, this blazer is beautifully constructed for the $129 price point. I did go up a FULL SIZE in this blazer from a 6 to an 8 as I couldn’t button the 6 and it was overall too tight.
For refrence, I wear a 4 or 6, but most always a 6 in blazers. Some reviews say not to size up. If you are petite or an hourglass shape, you may be ok with your regular size, but to me, this jacket runs small. If you are ordering online, I’d say order 2 sizes -Nordstrom offers free returns – to get your size right.

I like both of these hoodies for different reasons – note that both cover your bum. 5. Perfect Gold Bootie
Since August, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect gold bootie; not TOO shiny with an under 2 1/2″ heel height. And after 2 months of searching, I found my perfect pair over at Boden. The gold is now low on stock, but Boden just added (this) watermelon color. This bootie fits true to size and is the perfect heel height.
