What I Shopped + Bought | September–October 2025

As we move deeper into fall, I’ve been browsing, testing, and adding a few new pieces to my wardrobe—and I thought it might be fun to try something new here on the blog. I’m testing out separating my Style Posts from my Shopping Posts, since some of you prefer styling advice and outfit inspiration, while others say, “Give me those curated shopping links!” (and some of you love both!).

So here’s the first in this new format — a roundup of What I Shopped + Bought this month, along with my Top 5 Picks of the Week.

“Shopped” are the pieces that stood out to me—items I looked into, tried on, or bookmarked for later. “Bought” are the ones that made it home with me and are now part of my fall/winter rotation.

Top 5 Purchases | September–October 2025

Below you’ll find my Top 5 Purchases for September/October — pieces that truly earned their place in my wardrobe — followed by a curated list of 20 favorites I’ve shopped this past month.

1. Pilcro Ultrawide Crop Jean | Now $89.95

These jeans checked every box on my fall/winter denim wish list: wide leg, fitted through the hip, and a comfortable mid-rise. I loved them so much I bought this pair at full price – and then they went on sale, lol! They pair perfectly with sneakers, flats, clogs, boots—even cowboy boots. 2. Back 70 Sneakers

If you love a low-profile sneaker with a retro 70’s vibe, check out the Back 70 Easter Mule (backless) or Ghost (classic). The colors are great, and they’re actually comfortable—a win for this picky sneaker person. I went for the Easter Mule in tan suede with faux fur trim; it’s cozy, secure, and reminds me of Uggs but sleeker. Perfect for casual fall days. Press here to shop.

3. Birkenstock Boston Rivets Clog | Nordstrom

These caught my eye immediately—available in three colors, I ordered the black with gold studs, and they’re a total game changer. Forget the old “Birks with socks” image; these feel chic and elevated. They’re my go-to for those in-between weather days when it’s too chilly for sandals. I plan to wear them with everything from joggers to denim.
Fit tip: I sized down (to a 38) since they run a bit long. If you’re between sizes, go smaller if you lean toward an 8, or up if you’re closer to a 9. Press here to shop all 3 colors.

4. The Zip-It Sweater by Sanctuary | Under $100

I tried this one at a recent Evereve styling event—the ladies were all loving it. It’s the perfect cropped length for mid-rise jeans, flattering for us over-50 gals without being too short. I picked up the color “Dirty Martini,” a brownish olive green, while others were loving “Stormyweather,” a gorgeous marled denim blue. The zipper at the shoulder adds fun styling options. 5. Longchamp Le Pliage Energy XS Crossbody

I first bought this bag in olive green back in April for a trip, and it’s still a total MVP in my rotation. According to my INDYX tracker, I’ve worn it 25 times in the past 40 days—proof that cost-per-wear matters! It fits all my essentials (wallet, phone, sunnies, lipstick, map, it even has a little stash pocket for a room key or cards) and folds flat in my carry-on or personal item for travel.
