January
I had quite a few outfits I loved January 2018, but funny enough, each look was styled around this Jenni Kayne short sleeve camel coat (My EXACT Coat at REAL REAL HERE), a piece I thrifted at ThredUp. My scarf is c/o Black.UK (EXACT NOW ON SALE HERE) (SIMILAR for $14.00 HERE). We couldn’t get enough of statement sleeves in 2018, and this silk blouse (SIMILAR, now on sale) was on regular rotation in my wardrobe through spring.
February
Y’all know I love a long cozy cardigan, and this piece from Anthropologie has been one of my favorites this year. And guess what? When it’s all pilled and nasty, I’ll take its place in my pajama drawer and I’ll keep wearing it till my kids say it’s time to let it go. Do you own any classic Anthro pieces that you just keep forever? (SIMILAR HERE | HERE | HERE). Jeans are FRAME (SIMILAR), tie front tee | ANTHROPOLOGIE (SIMILAR HERE | HERE, booties | Rebecca Minkoff
March
Spring had not yet sprung, but I was itching to switch up my cold weather wardrobe. Want to wear a dress in the winter? Pair it with a pair of pants-which is what I did quite a bit during the month of March. My silk dress was another second-hand find, jeans are FRAME (SIMILAR HERE). A favorite tote, Longchamp Le Pliage Large Nylon Shoulder Tote (HERE).
April
I am obsessed with Paul Green shoes, so when I found this pink pair on sale at Nordstrom Rack, I had to have them. They ended up being a little difficult to style, but they are so comfortable for work I decided to keep them. I thought they added a little pizazz to this otherwise all-black outfit. May
The weather had begun to shift, therefore I had many looks l loved this month. This outfit was one of YOUR favorites based on likes on Instagram and Facebook. Still going with the dress over pants vibe, both my pom pom white jeans and tunic/dress were second-hand scores from an Annual Clothing Swap I co-host with two dear friends of mine, Michelle and Kanesha. Looking to host a clothing swap of your own this year, read all about how we pull it together (and have a blast doing so) in, How to Host Your Own Clothing Swap (HERE)
June
Oh how I love these pants, and boy did I get a ton of unexpected wear out of them! And because they are a soft white, I was able to wear them through October this year. Paired with the Concord Top from Trina Turk (on sale HERE), this outfit was one of my favorites this year. View more images in, Bring on the Chambray! Summer Outfit Ideas (HERE). Similar pant | Nordstrom Rack (HERE)
July
This wrap dress from Tory Burch was a piece I never planned to purchase. Yet, it was one of those pieces that after trying it on, I couldn’t get out of my mind. From the wrap styling, midi length and print in full bloom of all of my favorite colors, I decided we were meant to be together. It’s a piece that everytime I wore it, it made me happy.
August
A bohemian beauty, this dress made my boho heart sing the minute I spotted it in a little boutique in Nolita, NYC while shopping with my daughter. My only regret is that I didn’t buy the strapless version in burnt orange while I was there. Lesson learned, while on vacation-just buy it, you’ll most likely never find that piece again. Sandals are Rachel Zoe, bag J Crew.
September
You’ve all seen me wear this same slip dress, many, many ways. It was one of those pieces I found hanging around the Anthropologie sale racks and I have worn it over and over again. For more ways I’ve styled this exact dress visit, Wardrobe Essentials: One Black Dress 7 Ways (HERE)
October
We experienced a very long Indian Summer out in these parts this past fall, so any chance I got to wear even a hint of fall style, I was all over it. Dress is H&M, booties Aquatallia, Cardigan is a thrift find (Similar now on sale at H&M HERE), pendant necklace is a favorite from Kendra Scott (Similar HERE), Sunnies | Tom Ford.
November
After quite the search for a perfect plaid pant, I found my mate over at Zara for under $40. Paired here with a black St John sweater and my favorite silver Vince mules (NOW ON SALE!!! HERE). A bit of bling made for some easy holiday style! Note: this outfit was on repeat throughout the holiday season-comfortable and chic, my kind of style! More on this exact look can be found in the post, Holiday Plaid + Red Lips (HERE).
December
A wild crazy fun month, I had quite a few looks I would have loved to have shared, but finding the time (and outdoor lighting) to photograph these looks was a whole other story. Luckily a friend of mine snapped off this photo during a Holiday Party I attended for WELosAltos, a women entrepreneur group of which I sit on the Advisory Board. The theme of this festive evening was Sparkle and Shine so I piled on some bling which included a Cara Crystal headband ($22, EXACT HERE)and Alexis Bittar earrings. The gold satin JCrew skirt and DVF faux fur bomber are pieces I look forward to bringing out with every holiday season. I’m not sure if I could have survived the holiday season without my Batisse dry shampoo (I use the brown shade HERE) and a selection of fun headbands (browse THESE from my favorite brand for headbands, Cara HERE)

You have a great sense of style. I particularly love the Anthropologie slip dress with the military style jacket. I’m also very jealous about the checked trousers. I’ve tried several and they make me look so wide 🙁
(Not sure why caps is on when my caps lock isn’t. I’m not shouting. HOnest!!)
Hi Elizabeth! Thank you so much for stopping by (and BTW, no caps showing on my end, LOL! I hear you on the shouting :))
The slip dress was a real surprise. I bought it really as a slip to wear under my kimonos, but something about it found it’s way into y wardrobe time and time again! I think its one of those easy grab and go pieces that works layered or on it’s own. I need more of those and less of the many one-off’s I’ve collected over time 🙂
plaid trousers are tough, i looked for quite sometime to find these. One place, if you haven’t already looked is to check New York & Co here >> https://shopstyle.it/l/XM0q
my MIL found a great pair over there that she wore over the holidays!
Have a wonderful weekend and 2019~
suzanne
You are adorable whatever you wear! Love the yearly outfits.
Thank you Lynn! It is fun to look back and see what REALLY gets worn; colors, styles, etc. I learn a lot about my style when I look back on all the photos! If you think of what you’d like to see more of, let me know!
THanks for your support and for tuning in each week!
XOXO
Suzanne
clothes are so much fun! (this is automatically writing in all caps even though my caps lock is not on…:D)
angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com
Hi ANgie! I need to find out about the cap lock, it’s doesn’t publish that way, though I get many comments from readers that say they aren’t screaming, LOL! I always enjoy taking a look back to see what I REALLY wore, vs what I had hoped to wear. It helps me for future editing and purchasing as I sometimes buy for my “fantasy Life” not day-to-day…but don’t we all?
Here’s to a wonderful 2019 and thank you for your support and stopping by!
xx
Suzanne
Always lovely to see the different STYLE of one person! Fabulous looks love!
