This past Saturday I attended my 30 year high school reunion. If you missed my pre-reunion musings on what to wear, pop on over to THIS post, from last Friday.
Saturday afternoon, I popped over to Halo Salon, for a fresh ‘do.
I had a nice quiet hour to relax, while the stylist blew dry, then used a wand on my hair.
Afterwards, I picked my blue jumpsuit up from the dry cleaner (I almost forgot!), and headed home to get ready for the evening.
Dressed and ready to go, I suddenly wasn’t feeling it for the outfit, that I had just pulled together. I messed around with it a bit, until 10 minutes before we needed to head out the door, I was back in the closet – switching into my black jumpsuit. Yes, the jumpsuit I said I wouldn’t wear, but am happy I did.
What I know; “Casual Cocktail” is an oxymoran, created by men, who don’t want to wear ties, and prefer denim over slacks. As far as being over-dressed, 95% of the women at my reunion were in either a dress, skirt or jumpsuit – everyone looked fabulous! Any of the 3 dresses I had selected last week HERE, would have worked great. Furthermore, if you’re ever unsure of what to wear, a LBD will never let you down!
Most importantly, wear what reflects you, and wear something you feel confident in. Classmate and friend, Michelle did exactly that. An original, for as long as I can remember, and a true fashionista – here she is, in my favorite photo of the evening:
My husband and I had a blast at the party, which ended way to soon. It was so fun to see people, whom I had not seen in 10-30 years, and hear what life after high school has been for each of them. Can’t wait till the next one comes around!

This bag is the perfect size to fit all the stuff I lug around, all day long. I love the outside zip pocket – it’s perfect if you are someone who doesn’t like to dig around in your bag for your phone. This is my first grey colored bag, and the grey leather is spot on. The grey/black print pairs up perfectly with my Prada pumps, which was exactly what I was hoping for:
