You gotta love a little black dress. Dress her up or down, wear her anywhere around town, this wardrobe workhorse has saved me from countless wardrobe meltdowns. Today’s dress was a second hand find – though I would swear it was never worn. My jacket, also a thrift find. Both pieces are classic good ‘ol DVF. My daughter convinced me I NEEDED these darling kitten heel suede bow pumps to wear with my black and grey looks. With a pop of color, I am loving suede shoes for spring. I started the day wearing my jacket over the dress, with a rose gold/white necklace from J Crew. However, I found when the jacket came off, I needed a bit more color on my top half to balance out the pink shoes – that’s when the triple strand pink beaded necklace came out. An Anthropologie find, I love how it brought some color to today’s look and added a “girly” feel.
Do you ever start the day in one look, then change it up as the day goes on – preferring the end result better? Sometimes my creative brain isn’t fully turned on in the morning and my outfits evolve throughout the day. Which combo is your favorite? Outfit One or Outfit Two? Let’s take a look!
Any Day, Everyday Little Black Dress Worn Two Ways

Both ways you styled your LBD are really cute Suzanne!
Thank you Julie! You know I love myself a great LBD!! xx
Love the second one Suzanne and I have to say, sometimes my brain isn’t in the right space to create the perfect look first thing in the morning!
Have fun!

Hi Helen! I knew I was not alone…it happens to me quite often. I will get dressed, head out the door and think all is good. Then I get home and start restyling and come up with looks I prefer way more. I guess that is why it is good, when we can, to lay our out outfits for the next day at night…when our brains are on! I like the 2nd one better as well! xx
Black NEVER looked SO GOOD‼️
Great dress! I love it both ways! And those shoes are awesome!

Suzanne love this dress and both ways you styled it. The mauve pink color of the heels is so pretty. It’s awesome you found these second hand. Some of my favorite pieces are also. Looks like they are both things you could keep a long time. I am with you, in the morning I rarely feel creative. I’m much better about pulling looks together later in the day! Thanks for sharing our event. Can’t wait. xo Kim
