Closet full of clothes, yet nothing to wear?
Feeling totally uninspired by what’s staring back at you everyday?
Each month fabulous fashion bloggers of the world, offer up #StyleChallenges on Instagram. This marks the fourth month I elected to participate in a few of these challenges. For my April Outfits click HERE | for May HERE | for June HERE
When I started all this “Style Challenge” business, I felt a bit out of my comfort zone, getting dressed and posting a fun outfit every day – but I gave it a try. I sought out challenges that I thought fit my profile of a 40+ working mom, who loves fashion, style, color and accessories. I have discovered a world of creative women, which I now follow, who inspire me on a daily basis with their fun outfits, ideas and fashion. Having a theme for each day forced me to dig into my closet, and work with items I owned, to create fun new outfits – that was the best part!
At the beginning of each month, the person hosting the challenge posts a list with 30 days of outfit ideas, from there it is up to you to come up with your outfit, and post it to the style challenge hashtag on Instagram.
Here is a look at a few August Challenges:
What I love, is that you do not have to participate to be inspired – you can follow along, with an endless world of outfit ideas, at your fingertips, posted by real people just trying to get up and look stylish each day!
#40PlusStyle on Instagram, though not a style challenge, offers great daily inspiration!
This month, 40+Style featured this fun Style Challenge hosted by @NOTALAMB
I love the hashtag #iWillWearWhatiLike – YES!

I love that printed short skirt… More versatile than most prints and cute waist. Also I would like to ask where you bought that striped fan skirt sundress? Another standout is the white with black polka dots. Btw I bought some block heal 2 strap sandals in NYC last winter and have worn them with everything since. I agree they stay put and so comfy. I like it when u show a month of outfits that are casual and dressy plus go from day to night easily.
Hi Cyndy! Thanks for dropping a comment! As for the fan dress, do you mean the blue and white stripe one? If so, it is an older style from T-bags which I picked up at Neiman Marcus Last Call. It does require a tube bra under it or a tank as it is pretty low cut. The polka dot is a steal over at Old Navy if they still have any left. It is a blogger fave as fellow blogger Melissa of YummoMummo has the same dress! Hope you are having a great weekend! XO
