Closet full of clothes, yet nothing to wear?
Feeling totally uninspired by what is staring back at you everyday?
Each month fabulous fashion bloggers of the world offer up #StyleChallenges on Instagram. This marks the second month I decided to participate in a few of these challenges. For my April Outfits click HERE. In the beginning I was feeling a bit out of my comfort zone, getting dressed and posting an fun outfit every day, but I was willing to give it a try. I sought out challenges that I thought fit my profile of a working mom who loves fashion, style, color and accessories. I have discovered a world of creative women which I now follow, who inspire me on a daily basis with their fun outfits, ideas and fashion. Having a theme for each day forced me to dig into my closet and work with items I owned to create fun new outfits – that was the best part!
At the beginning of each month, the person hosting the challenge posts a list with 30 days of outfit ideas, from there it is up to you to come up with your outfit, and post it to the style challenge hashtag on Instagram. Here is an example from May.
What I love is that you do not have to participate to be inspired – you can follow along, with an endless world of outfit ideas at your fingertips, posted by real people just trying to get up and look stylish each day!
A few fun hashtags to follow for June are:
#JuneBeStyed
#DelishStyleChallenge
#WearWhatWhereJune
#AmbraceMe
#40PlusStyle (though not a style challenge, it offers great daily inspiration!) Also, you can catch my interview with Syliva of 40+ Style HERE on how to mix bohemian with classic style – a style interview
Here’s a look at what I wore, during the month of May

Here are the Style Challenges I will be participating in for June. Jump in and participate if you like! Some even offer prizes to boot! But, if you aren’t up for the whole thing, you can print this collage or save it on your phone, then challenge yourself to remix what you have, perhaps try a few new ideas along the way!
Fashion should be fun, enjoy the journey!

Where can I find that cute topper in black and white stripes?
Hi Angie! I am thinking you are referring to the wrap that looks like a zebra? If so, it is Alice + Olivia and it is called the Dezi Wrap. It is sold out at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus ( I pinned it to my Pinterest Page under New Fashion Find for reference if you want the info on it) I did a search and have only been able to locate it on Ebay. I found a small here, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Alice-Olivia-Black-White-Striped-Wrap-Sweater-Size-Small-/281715555573?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41978e3cf5 . There is a newer style out on Ebay as well with more linear stripes, also sold out online, http://www.ebay.com/itm/396-Alice-Olivia-Black-White-Stripe-Wrap-Drape-Convertible-Sweater-Cardigan-M-/251985340201?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3aab7f2729. I have not seen the 2nd one in person, but it looks similar. Mine is a convertible sweater meaning you can wear it as I have in the photos or button it at the shoulders and wear it as a wrap. You can also tie it in the front. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have other questions! Suzanne
Hi Suzanne,
I have to tell you I think this was one of your first posts that I read after your interview in 40+ with Sylvia, I just loved it and was really inspired by your outfit with the daytime denim outfits, the one with what I think are wide legged Jeans and the white top! My style is Classic/Hippy, I couldn’t believe how similar in dress sense we seam to be, however you mentioned in your interview that you are tall, at only 4 feet 10 inches, I have to make things work differently but isn’t that the fun part.
I went a bought a long black skirt in cordaroy, which worked well as it makes me look taller, a shirt similar in style but with a pattern and I have a great belt that I was able to tie it together with, a fun little wrap over the top of that and I was set! Wish I could show you the photo!
Thank you for inspiring me, I am getting so many great ideas and am coming up with interesting ways to make them work for me!
Keep up the great work, I don’t know how you do it!
Kind regards
Helen
